We are very grateful to Dick and Joan Dewert for the invitation to come on their "Lifeline" program this week. It gave Rob, Fran and Richard a wonderful opportunity to share the vision of NHOP and update their growing Canadian audience about all that has been happening in Ottawa.

It was such a blessing to have Dick and Joan challenge their constituency to help us pay off our mortgage. The goal is to find 600 individuals or churches who would donate $1000.00 each. On the show Joan said that they wanted Tephillah Wednesday (their local praise/prayer gathering) to be the first to make a thousand dollar donation.

Rob also was invited to participate in a "live" talk show hosted by Paul Arthur titled "Insight". This was another great chance to explain to a new audience about the crucial role that NHOP plays in our nation's capital.

Dick and Joan also had a special announcement which we know will excite our friends in eastern Canada. They have just signed a deal with Rogers Basic Digital Cable in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland to have a 24 hour channel slot. This will give them access to another 1.25 million households in the next few weeks. Look for them in your area!

The two shows we taped will be on the air in a few days time on both the Miracle Channel and on the CTS network. Hopefully you can catch us in your time zone at the proper time.

After seeing the Spirit of God move so powerfully on the youth in Cape Dorset just a few weeks ago, Rob has come back with a great burden to see them effectively discipled. Over 80 young people made decisions to follow Jesus. That's what you call an instant Youth Church!

We are praying that the Lord would raise up a Youth Pastor who would want to invest his/her energy into developing these new believers, and training up some Inuit youth leaders who will be able to disciple them for the long term.

1. Pray for the success of our military forces in Afghanistan. Success would mean a great degree of peace and security for the people of that country, and the adoption of democratic and good government rather than the fear and control of warlords and their private armies. Success would also mean protection for our soldiers and the citizens of that nation.

Please pray for the effective follow up of the 80 or more young people who made decisions to follow Jesus at the Arctic Bible conference a couple of weeks ago. Rob would love to hear of someone willing to go and spend some time in Cape Dorset developing the youth ministry and youth workers.

Pray for a new atmosphere on the Parliamentary committee for Aboriginal affairs as they now need to replace their chairperson. Pray for a desire to work as a team, rather than along partisan lines, so that First Peoples' issues are effectively addressed.
