Dear friend,
Springtime means it's "Tulip Festival" time in
Ottawa. It's the largest tulip event in the world, and
commemorates the special relationship between
Holland and Canada. You can learn all about it at
the official website.

"Give Hope to our Nation" is the theme of
this year's
Women's Prayer Wave, coming up this Saturday, May
6. Events are being held in communities large and small right across the nation. You can find out where the closest venue is for you, and learn much more by visiting the website below. ![]()
![]() This may be the most exciting youth event this summer! We want to encourage you to invite your youth group to come to Ottawa for July 15th. Faytene Kryskow and her team could really use your prayers. There are many crucial decisions to be made about matters both large and small. Pray for Isabel the event administrator as she is on location in Ottawa (staying at NHOP) and making the phone calls and connections to prepare for July 15th. We would also encourage you to pray for provision for all the financial costs of this event and even consider helping them out with a donation. You can go to the website and make a contribution online. ![]()
![]() Rob, Fran, and Richard will be in Lethbridge next week for the taping of two shows that will be focused on NHOP. We are very grateful for the strong support from Dick and Joan Dewart from the very beginning of this new ministry. Please pray for us as we seek to communicate the vision of the National House of Prayer and share how individuals and congregations can partner with us. We tape the shows on Tuesday, but will have to give you the actual airing dates in our next newsletter. ![]()
1. Pray for our M.P.s as they now begin to debate the budget that was presented on May 2nd. We continue to ask for prayers that the atmosphere in the House will be more cordial and that the interest of Canadians would be a higher priority than party politics. 2. Continue to pray for the new government's relationship with the First People's of this land. The "Kelowna Agreement" has been bypassed in the new budget which means that the Ministry of Indian Affairs must come up with another approach to meeting the concerns of Aboriginal people. Pray for Jim Prentice who is the minister in charge of this portfolio. 3. Please pray for Rob as he gets ready to make a trip to the Ukraine later this month. They are hoping to launch a national house of prayer in Kiev. Rob will also be ministering into the issues of the deep wounds of that nation's history. ![]()

We have a wonderful team from Vernon, B.C. with us
this week. This is a picture of them meeting with
a congregation from Hull, Quebec. Rob, our director, especially wants to thank you for your prayers for his trip to the Arctic, which went so well.
