 Fresh Wind
In This Issue

Greetings!

It's been interesting, to say the least, here at the National House of Prayer over the last few days. Elijah experienced a great wind, a great earthquake, fire, and then a still small voice when the LORD wanted to get his attention. Over the last few weeks we've also seen the effects of a fire, felt a wind, and now experienced an earthquake. We believe God is speaking to the Church in Canada. Read on to hear what we sense that He is saying.

 "Fresh Wind"

cloud and wind In an earlier mailing entitled ?FRESH FIRE? I shared that I felt God had sent a cleansing presence to remove every influence of darkness out of our parliament. I also sensed that after this cleansing, God wanted us to pray righteousness IN to our governmental buildings.

The recent team of 24 sent from Vancouver with the blessing of the Vancouver ministerial arrived prepared for an assignment and a strong desire to pray right in the House of Commons. The door opened with the help of a former M.P. and two other staff members. While praying in the entrance to the House a strong wind came rushing in! I stepped back from the entrance to see where this wind was coming from and in a few paces discovered there to be no wind and no open door or window!

8 year old team member Jessie, came to Ottawa with the desire to pray for righteousness and justice in the halls of our government, and prayed as a young Josiah in this open doorway. The sense that God was hearing our cry and filling the House of Commons with His presence was very real.

Next, we prayed at the Senate and experienced the same wind! The room seemed to become a vacuum through which the air rushed in. God?s favor also gained us permission to prayer walk undisturbed throughout the visitor?s gallery of the House of Commons. Praying over every member?s seat below and in the Press gallery was a special privilege this team won?t forget.

To our amazement, even here the heavy and thick curtains that cover the doorways to the gallery were moving ?sideways? due to a wind. In the foyer outside the House there was not even a whisper of a breeze!

As the team debriefed, we all felt that we had witnessed a manifestation of God?s presence in response to a praying Church. Just to underline the event, the team felt led to pray about this wind and that evening, Ottawa experienced a strong wind storm and Montreal came close to declaring a state of emergency due to the forceful wind. The west coast experienced winds nearing hurricane force, while the Arctic reported unusual wind and weather patterns at the same time.

Seven days later, Watchmen for the Nations leaders from across Canada gathered at the National House of Prayer to seek God on behalf of our nation. On the Friday night as we listened to David Demian declaring that the whole earth is groaning, at that moment we felt a 4.5 earthquake rumble through our building, and shake all of Ottawa! Just before this, First Nation?s leader Kenny Blacksmith, had an impression of an army of angels marching and he felt that we were not hearing the sound. He was just about to say something about this when the earthquake hit.

No, I do not think that this was just a coincidence. An earthquake of this size is rare in the Ottawa region. The Ottawa Citizen reported the next day, "The magnitude 4.5 quake is 'the strongest we have had in Ottawa for quite some time,' said John Adams, a seismologist with the Geological Society of Canada."
The fact that God?s timing arranged for 50 Church leaders to be in an upper room in our nation?s capital to experience such a natural phenomena is surely a sign to the Church that God is shifting something in our nation!

We were amazed at this event and through this and much of the above, (fresh fire, fresh wind), we have been deeply strengthened and feel a fresh alertness in our intercession.

Be encouraged, God is on the move in our nation! Join together with others who are praying and let?s corporately ask for that fresh wind of God to move from coast to coast to coast across this land.

Rob

 Prayer Points

Marshall Rothstein 1. By now you know that our newest Supreme Court Judge is Marshall Rothstein. Let's pray for him and his family as he steps into this high stress position. Pray that he will sense his need to rely on God for the wisdom that will be required in this role. Pray that all the Supreme Court justices will be aware of their need for heavenly wisdom

2. The media play a huge role in portraying how things are done in Ottawa. Pray for honesty and fairness in the way that all media outlets handle the stories that they tell. Pray for a healthy relationship of mutual respect between the government and media.

3. Please pray for the families of our armed forces who are serving in different war zones around the world. This week another soldier was killed in Afghanistan, and six others injured. They all have spouses, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and comrades who need the comforting ministry of the Holy Spirit at this time.

We were very pleased to get some international attention in the widely-read "Pray!" magazine this month. This is just another of the many ways that the Lord is giving us favourable media coverage at the beginning of this year.
