| Ashmont Farmers' Market Opens Today | |
 Returning for its third season on Friday, July 8, at the Ashmont Station Plaza. The island sounds of Pan United Steel Orchestra will welcome the market, which runs every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. through mid-October and features the fresh and local produce of Massachusetts farmers. Also available: fresh flowers, plants, and other gardening items from Cedar Grove Gardens; Dot2Dot Café baked goods; and Dorchester Arts Collaborative art. The market accepts SNAP/Food Stamp benefits, WIC, and Senior Nutrition coupons. Also, SNAP shoppers can get up to $20 worth of produce at half price through the Boston Bounty Bucks program.
