Passing the MicCome rap with the stars in Dorchester! Talented locals will have the opportunity to collaborate with established rap artists at the Strand Theatre this Thursday. The Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club of Boston is hosting "Passing the Mic," headlined by 80s and 90s rap stars Chubb Rock, Dana Dane, Gizmo and Milk Dee of Audio 2, Joeski Love and more!

This event will feature musical performances by Shea Rose, P.Nom, Zili Misik, and Ashley Rose. A Farewell to Fifield School
FifieldUnfortunately, we will bid farewell temporarily to the Emily A. Fifield School as they will be closing. The school hopes to reopen as a charter school. A Fairwell Get Together will be held on Tuesday at the Adams Inn. Come support this school's community, which has struggled hard to try to keep their students and families. My Dot Tour

If you know of any youth looking for a fun summer job, tell them to check out My Dot Tour! My Dot Tour is seeking interns for a multimedia walking tour through Fields Corner led by local youth. This is a paid position, participants will receive stipends and work 10 hours per week from July 5 to August 14. Interns will have the opportunity to learn all about their neighborhood and will have something great to put on the resume before they even get to college!

Fashion Design Summer Classes with Stitch House

Design Classes

Calling all teens with a passion for fashion design, the Stitch House has the class for you this summer! Teen Fashion Design will run for four weeks and explores pattern reading, fabric selection, machine and hand sewing, among other basic garment sewing skills. By the end of this course you will be making your own summer skirts and beach bags!

The Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston works to eliminate housing discrimination and promote open communities throughout the region. The FHCGB needs your help in the effort to expose and challenge housing discrimination and is giving stipends with each investigation completed.
