The Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club of Boston is hosting "Passing the Mic," headlined by 80s and 90s rap stars Chubb Rock, Dana Dane, Gizmo and Milk Dee of Audio 2, Joeski Love and more!

 The City of Boston Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event is here! This will give all Boston residents the opportunity to get rid of chemicals and waste products safely and securely. Put household poisons, insecticides, paint, tires, auto fluids, car batteries, wood preservatives, or any other wastes in a cardboard box and bring it over to the West Roxbury Public Waste Yard this Saturday only.

DAC Screening

| National HIV Testing Day |
 To encourage pro-active, healthy behaviors in our community, both The Dorchester House Multi-Service Center and the Codman Square Health Center will provide testing during their regular hours on June 27. One in five people living with HIV don't know they are infected, come out this Monday and show how important it is to get tested!

A Farewell to Fifield School

 Unfortunately, we will bid farewell temporarily to the Emily A. Fifield School as they will be closing. The school hopes to reopen as a charter school. A Fairwell Get Together will be held on Tuesday at the Adams Inn. Come support this school's community, which has struggled hard to try to keep their students and families. The event will feature dinner, music, and much more.

 The 3rd Annual Adams Village Business Association's Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 28. Come celebrate the accomplishments of true female leaders in the Dorchester community; City Councillor Maureen Feeney and Lauren Smyth, former City of Boston Neighborhood Coordinator. This award ceremony is free to the community, so let's show these wonderful women how much we care about their efforts!

Intern this Summer with My Dot Tour

If you know of any youth looking for a fun summer job, tell them to check out My Dot Tour! My Dot Tour is seeking interns for a multimedia walking tour through Fields Corner led by local youth. This is a paid position, participants will receive stipends and work 10 hours per week from July 5 to August 14. Interns will have the opportunity to learn all about their neighborhood and will have something great to put on the resume before they even get to college!

Calling all teens with a passion for fashion design, the Stitch House has the class for you this summer! Teen Fashion Design will run for four weeks and explores pattern reading, fabric selection, machine and hand sewing, among other basic garment sewing skills. The Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston works to eliminate housing discrimination and promote open communities throughout the region. The FHCGB needs your help in the effort to expose and challenge housing discrimination and is giving stipends with each investigation completed.
