 "Parent University" offers free workshops for BPS parents on a variety of good topics, including MCAS information for parents and financial health training series. This Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System workshop explains the reasons why we have this statewide testing system and how it is currently being implemented. Parents examine sample MCAS questions and responses and explore supports and resources available for helping students improve their performance.

The Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation is working on another development project near Codman Square. This one at 241 Talbot Avenue at the corner of Mallard Avenue is called the Levedo Building. It will offer 24 affordable housing rental units as well as commercial units. Construction should be finished later this year.
The point of this is that Richard Heath was able to snap a photo from the roof of the building back toward Codman Square, and that is today's illustration. We can see Second Church and the former Dorchester High School from this vantage point.
