Dorchester Flashback

Dorchester Historical Society Image of the Week
Dorchester Illustration of the Day no. 1478

The blizzard of 1920 left quite a bit of snow, and you will find some familiar landmarks in today's postcard of Peabody Square.  Today is a good day to go out to compare the buildings and snowpiles that exist today to the ones in the photo.

The building to the right of the fire station is gone, and the small commercial building at the left is gone-probably was just about where the Englewood Diner used to sit but now probably the garden area of the Englewood Apartments.
