| December's Business of the Month: Release the Hounds | |

Childhood friends Jennifer Shell and Sabrina Shrock have always been avid dog-lovers. This September, they decided to act on it and launched a dog-walking business in Dorchester under the clever name of Release the Hounds. Fear not, dog owners: the hounds go leashed, but let out of doors, they'll get the attention and exercise they deserve!
Release the Hounds provides tailored and negotiable dog care service. Typical service includes three times daily house visits, with one half-hour in the morning and evening and one hour around noon. But the business is flexible: if an owner feels as though their dog just needs a quick ten-minute walk once a day, RTH will work out an arrangement.
Finally, Sabrina and Jen focus on individual care: in order to gain clients' trust, they always schedule an initial appointment to get to know the owners and dogs. These two are promoting positive social interaction on the streets of Dorchester and animal health, which is why we chose them as our December Business of the Month!

Dorchester Illustration of the Day no. 1438
Scan of record sleeve of Dorchester Summer
Rich Parsons, vocals, guitar (Unnatural Axe) Richie Kerr, drums (Lonely Boys) Fritz Ericson, lead guitar, vocals (Freddie and The Victors) Lee Harrington, bass, vocals Bob "Moose" Parsons, sax
Under-aged act from Dorchester that gave rise to Band 19. The act participated in the Rumble in 1981 and played the big Channel benefit for the High School Times (2/82). Harrington went on to the Neighborhoods. Leader Parsons had a solo cut on the ABCD (1988) project with Ericson, then went on to front the Condo Pygmies. Tunes worth hearing again include Dorchester Summer, Tree, Gang Busters, and the popular No Surfin in Dorchester Bay. Richie had cut his teeth with Unnatural Axe who had an amicable split by the spring of 1980 (and a huge sendoff to a packed house at the Rat in April). Kid brother, Moose, did time with the Boston City All-Star Band.
The hit No Surfin in Dorchester Bay came out on a 45 rpm under the group name The Gremies. The Gremies: Rich Parsons, vocals, guitar; Frank Dehler, bass; Jeff Conolly, keyboards; Howie Ferguson, drums; Ralph Fatello, guitar; Bob (Moose) Parsons, sax.
Discography: New Feeling (Wicked Good Time, Modern Method,1981) New Town (Wicked Good Time, Vol II, Modern Method, 1981)
