My Dorchester: Brought to you by SCI

Thank You, Dorchester!
SCI @ DotWell StaffAs our AmeriCorps service comes to an end, the SCI Dorchester @ DotWell Team just wanted to thank the many community members who have been a part of our service this year. We all have enjoyed being a part of your vibrant community here in Dorchester (many of us loved it so much we will still be working and/or living in the community next year!). We hope you have enjoyed the changes to MyDorchester.org and the numerous other programs we have invested in throughout the year. It has been an honor to be a part of your community!

Have a great summer!

P.S. We'd also like to introduce our fabulous intern, Hannah, who will be taking over the eBlast for the summer.  Emails haven't changed, though. Feel free to still send events for the eBlast and comments to eblast@mydorchester.org

This exciting concert series is a two-day event recurring throughout the summer, twice in July and once in August. Day One serves as a training/workshop day of instruction, insight, and conversations about how "the arts" help young people best communicate ideas through skill and concentration.

Send Us Your Photos for the MyDorchester Photo Contest
As the SCI Dorchester Team transitions for the summer, the photo contest will remain dormant, however we'd love to begin collecting photos for beginning the contest anew in the fall...

If you have photos of unique Dorchester outdoor artwork, monuments, you name it, email info@mydorchester.org with your pictures of Dorchester and their locations so we can keep the photo contest up and running.  We'll credit you as the author, of course.

SCI Dorchester's mission is to strengthen the Dorchester community by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives. We envision a community where individuals are strongly connected to their neighbors and play an active role in shaping the destiny of our community. This increase in 'social capital' will result in a community that is safer, healthier and more vital. For more information click here.

The mission of DotWell is to work in collaboration with our founding health center partners - Codman Square Health Center and Dorchester House Multi-Service Center - to provide integrated clinical and community services that address health disparities, build social capital, and meet the complex needs of our communities.
