Early Words LogoIf you are the parent of a 0-3 year old or know anyone who is the parent of a 0-3 year old, you are invited to a free early words session hosted by Read Boston and the Boston Public Library!

Work with Read Boston Staff in a hands-on workshop to find ways to promote your child's growth in language and reading.
 
A light supper and childcare will be provided.
Participants will receive free gifts!  6:30pm.

Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester (Granite Ave and Milton St.)
Marine Corps Sgt. Patrick Callahan, a Savin Hill native, will address the gathering of veterans and neighbors who assemble near the entrance to the cemetery around 10:30 a.m. The 24 year-old Callahan completed two tours in Iraq before his discharge from the Marine Corps last September.

Second Church in Dorchester invites the public to honor our veterans

Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 from 12-2 pm at Codman Burying Ground on Norfolk Street in Dorchester.  The Second Church will plant flags at all the veterans' graves, present a gift to each veteran present, and present a tour of Codman Burying Ground's key points of interest.
