| Dorchester Flashback | Dorchester Illustration of the Week
Which station do you think this is?
From about 1930
to the 1970s Ashmont Station had a brick headhouse similar to Shawmut and Savin
Hill stations.
Today's illustration
shows the entrance to Ashmont Station at the corner of Dorchester Avenue and
Ashmont Street where the plaza is today.
The Illustration of the Day is sent out via email by Earl Taylor of the Dorchester Historical Society. If you would like to get these daily images, please visit this site and join the group. Questions? Call 781-272-6700. |
