Hi Everyone,
I am so excited about our Next Iron Crafter Event tonight. We have all the prizes ready to give out, the challenges are all planned out and the microphone is ready for Gina Adolph. You still have time today to earn tickets for tonight's craft games. For every $10 in purchases, you get a ticket for a chance to play in our Iron Crafter event. I know there are a few people that we forgot to give tickets to. When you come in to watch tonight's event, just tell us and we will get your tickets in the bin in time for the drawing. We will have about 30 chairs for our audience and I will have some sweet treats to snack on. We also have 20 goodie bags for our audience.
12 lucky customers will get to compete each evening. We will have three rounds of competition with 4 people competing in each round. At the end of each round, the audience will get to vote with their applause for a winner for the round. Everyone playing will get prize. The winners for the round will get a bigger prize. At the end of the evening, the audience will determine who the Next Iron Crafter is among the 3 round winners. The Next Iron Crafter will receive a $50 Gift Certificate.
We will be handing out door prize tickets to our audience members and having drawings for prizes throughout the evening.

New Echo Park Everyday Eclectic
As we were getting the store ready for tonight's Iron Crafter, we discovered lots of single sheets of paper filling our paper racks. So we have a new bin at the front counter for all our last chance papers.
We have moved around a lot of sections of the store including our Copics.
Our Design Team paper and projects moved up front.
New My Mind's Eye moved too. 
New section for our Halloween and Fall.

August Calendar is Finally Here.
 Here are those FYI's that everyone needs to know: - Please make sure to call ahead to reserve your spot for any Friday Night Crops or Saturday Night Crops. You don't want to miss out because we didn't know you were coming!
- If you have a group coming to our crops (2+ croppers), please let us know when signing up so we can reserve space for your group.
- To sign up for any classes or crops, please stop by the store or call (410-549-5187) during store hours to sign up.

My Mind's Eye Be Amazing Chipboard Album with Tracy
Join Tracy for this mini album packed with lots of cool details. This will be a long class but you can take a break whenever you need to. This class is available as a kit with complete written instructions. Please bring scissors, tape runner, liquid adhesive like Fabri-Tac, paper trimmer, lots of pop-dots, brown chalk ink, sand paper, exacto knife. $45
**** Some of the brads and buttons had to be substituted because they are sold out at the manufacturer.

Scrapping 102
It's all about the embellishments. After Gina helps you pick out the papers and some embellishments to use, you will make 2 pages using photos you bring, Gina will teach you how to use ribbon, fibers, tearing, brads, tags, inking stamping, buttons, chipboard, distressing techniques and flowers. (You will not be making this layout. You will be creating a layout using papers you and Gina pick out. This layout just shows some of the techniques you will learn.) $15
Wednesday August 29th 6-8 PM
Scrapping 101 with Gina
Do you want to get started scrapbooking but don't know where or how to start? Are you overwhelmed by all the choices when you come in to shop? Do you have boxes of photos under the bed and don't know what to do next? If you need some direction and ideas for a balanced layout, this class will be a guide to get you started.
Gina will teach you all you need to know to make your first scrapbook pages. You will learn how to use tools, pick colors and how to adhere your photos safely. Please bring 4-8 photos and you will complete your first page in class. Fee $12
Thursday August 30 6-8 PM $23
Easy Peasy Bright & Merry Christmas Cards
Eight cards and envelopes. You will also go home with left over stickers to make more cards. Please bring adhesive, scissors and pop dots.

Acrylic Stamps or Cling Stamps
We've had a lot of discussion in the store lately on which is better - acrylic stamps or cling stamps (red rubber)? Obviously the advantage in the acrylic (clear) stamps is you can see right through them but we also love the crisp images you get from the red rubber cling stamps! Many people assume acrylic stamps deteriorate quickly - they become white, dusty, hard or brittle. Some of the older or cheaper acrylic stamps and those you find "mass market" - at Michael's, Jo-Ann's, Hobby Lobby - can and DO have this problem! Much of the acrylic is made overseas and is indeed, inferior!
