Hi Everyone,

I'm getting ready to go to Chicago for the big CHA retailer show. There are so many things I want to look at and order. I'll be sending you updates starting on Sunday night. Who knows "someone" may have stowed away in my suitcase.

Demo Day

Saturday July 14th 11-4 PM

Join us for 14 great projects all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 11:00 and create as many Demos you want. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. We will have kits available for all the demos so you can even make these at home.
If you complete 6 demos, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your regular priced purchases for the day (not including special orders or other sale special offers).


Vanessa has a flowery card for you to color with Copics.

At Cindy's table, you will be using a quote chosen from one of 2 fabulous stamp sets by MFT called Vertical Greetings (or Vertical Greetings II) as the focal point of the card. Cindy will have both of these fantastic MFT sets at her table so that you can choose the words you would prefer to have on your card.  Each of these sets even comes complete with their own die!



Cindy made a second card for you to make.

Jonsey will be making this colorful card and we will have an extra card available for you to make to donate to Cards for Troops.

Tina will teach you how to get this great ribbon effect.

Alice has a fun technique for you this month.

Kids Kraft Mondays

Join us this week for 3 fun make'n'takes. We have all the supplies your child will need to make these three fun projects. Just $3 to make all three projects.

Jen Starr is a fully Certified and Ranger Recognized Instructor. She was the 2007-2008 Design Team Coordinator for Ranger Industries and continues to teach and do private design work for them. She enjoys being a Golden Embassador for Tattered Angels, an Endorsed Instructor for Prima and was the Lead Creative Designer for Canvas Concepts. More recently she has become certified with Ten Seconds Studio and has added some metal work to her inky class line-up! Jen has designed several signature product lines and her projects have been featured in many publications in the US and Europe including the "Ink Essentials" book.

Life is Beautiful Gate Book $45 (3 hours)

In this class you will learn some creative mixed media techniques to help make your projects as beautiful as your life! We'll be working with die cut elements from both Tim Holtz and Memory Box, Distress Inks (including the limited edition colors), Gesso, Crafter's Workshop Templates from the fabulous Dyan Reavely and some of my favorite Glimmer Mist colors in this year's Spring/Summer Limited editions that I designed for Tattered Angels...plus many more fun things will be incorporated throughout the book. This is an 8x9" chipboard gate book with flipping and folding interactive pages inside...SO much fun!!

**Please bring to class a heat gun if you have one, strong adhesive such as Glossy Accents or red tape, scissors, scoring tool for folds,

**Please NOTE: title is not included so you will be able to make it any theme you want.

Memories of the Beach Canvas flip book $49 (3 hours)

Photos, shells, sand and memories of a special beach excursion, cruise, island getaway or just some summer fun are the makings for a special keepsake! In this very mixed media canvas book you will learn some fun techniques that you will be able to carry on in to future projects as well. We will be playing with paint mediums, mists, glazes, modeling paste, inks, stamps, screens, UTEE and much more during class. The 8 inch square canvases will be "hinged" using a unique binding technique. The inside will utilize the negative space with dimensional elements

hidden behind additional chipboard panels and pages that will flip out...this is one not to miss!!

**please bring to class a small hammer and any special shells or sand you may want to incorporate (I will have some small shells in class as well

One of our talented customers has created a shadowbox filled with 6 great techniques. Helen will teach you how to use wax over your images to get an antique look, how to use Glassine paper, Copic color, Pencil color Elzabeth Crafts Glitter and Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel tiles. $29 Supply list coming soon.

My Mind's Eye Be Amazing Chipboard Album with Tracy

Join Tracy for this mini album packed with lots of cool details. This will be a long class but you can take a break whenever you need to. This class is available as a kit with complete written instructions. When Gina, saw this paper line and album she was so inspired to make this special album. Please bring a strong tape adhesive, liquid glue like fabric-tac, scissors, sandpaper and black chalk ink if you want to ink your edges. $29

Avocado Arts with Lisa Hetrick

Little Yellow Bicycle's newest release Escape is perfect for any of your summer photos with the bright, fun colors. The diecut paper served as my base but for the second page I turned the paper twice until the pennants were on the bottom of the page to create balance. Bo Bunny's Buttercup Double Dot cardstock was used behind the diecut paper and going across the layouts. From my stash I covered a strip of zigzag chipboard with one of Escape's beautiful papers to run across parts of both pages. Hand-cut pennants from a variety of the papers plus clouds, sun, and words from the Clear Cuts Acetate Shapes served as embellies. The FUN-O-METER had to go on my layout because, well, it was just fun! The Fresh Verse stickers helped create the title on the right page while I used Prima's alphabets for the smaller title on the left side. *New technique alert! I stepped out of my comfort zone and actually misted the top photo on each page with Studio Calico's Mister Huey's Opague White. I couldn't love more how those photos appear to have ocean spray jumping off the picture. Make your "escape" to Photo Scraps to see another hot summer line!!
