Hi Everyone,
We hope this heat wave has been kind to you. I know many of our customers are still without power. You can always come hang out with us at the store and enjoy the air. We will be closed on the 4th to enjoy the holiday with our families.
We added a second class the evening of July 12th. We will be having Scrapping 101 with Gina Adolph and Copic 101 with Lisa Hetrick. I didn't update the calendar yet but both are scheduled.

Thursday July 12th and Monday July 23rd 6-8 PM Scrapping 101 with Gina Do you want to get started scrapbooking but don't know where or how to start? Are you overwhelmed by all the choices when you come in to shop? Do you have boxes of photos under the bed and don't know what to do next? If you need some direction and ideas for a balanced layout, this class will be a guide to get you started.
Gina will teach you all you need to know to make your first scrapbook pages. You will learn how to use tools, pick colors and how to adhere your photos safely. Please bring 4-8 photos and you will complete your first page in class. Fee $12
Thursday July 12th 6-8 PM Copic 101 $22 or $39  Demo Day Saturday July 14th 11-4 PM
Join us for 12 great projects all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 11:00 and create as many Demos you want. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. We will have kits available for all the demos so you can even make these at home. If you complete 6 demos, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your regular priced purchases for the day (not including special orders or other sale special offers). At Cindy's table, you will be using a quote chosen from one of 2 fabulous stamp sets by MFT called Vertical Greetings (or Vertical Greetings II) as the focal point of the card. Cindy will have both of these fantastic MFT sets at her table so that you can choose the words you would prefer to have on your card. Each of these sets even comes complete with their own die!
Jonsey will be making this colorful card and we will have an extra card available for you to make to donate to Cards for Troops.

Jen Starr is coming back to Photo Scraps for 2 New Classes on Thursday July 19th. We had 3 great classes filled with technique with Jen last fall and her new classes sound like lots of fun.

More recently she has become certified with Ten Seconds Studio and has added some metal work to her inky class line-up! Jen has designed several signature product lines and her projects have been featured in many publications in the US and Europe including the "Ink Essentials" book.

Life is Beautiful Gate Book $45 (3 hours)
In this class you will learn some creative mixed media techniques to help make your projects as beautiful as your life! We'll be working with die cut elements from both Tim Holtz and Memory Box, Distress Inks (including the limited edition colors), Gesso, Crafter's Workshop Templates from the fabulous Dyan Reavely and some of my favorite Glimmer Mist colors in this year's Spring/Summer Limited editions that I designed for Tattered Angels...plus many more fun things will be incorporated throughout the book. This is an 8x9" chipboard gate book with flipping and folding interactive pages inside...SO much fun!!
**Please bring to class a heat gun if you have one, strong adhesive such as Glossy Accents or red tape, scissors, scoring tool for folds,

Memories of the Beach Canvas flip book $49 (3 hours)

Photos, shells, sand and memories of a special beach excursion, cruise, island getaway or just some summer fun are the makings for a special keepsake! In this very mixed media canvas book you will learn some fun techniques that you will be able to carry on in to future projects as well. We will be playing with paint mediums, mists, glazes, modeling paste, inks, stamps, screens, UTEE and much more during class. The 8 inch square canvases will be "hinged" using a unique binding technique. The inside will utilize the negative space with dimensional elements
hidden behind additional chipboard panels and pages that will flip out...this is one not to miss!!
**please bring to class a small hammer and any special shells or sand you may want to incorporate (I will have some small shells in class as well)
