 37 New Distress Ink Markers

You might have questions about markers.....
Markers have been around forever..right?
Copics are wonderful and are the best marker...why does anyone need more?
It's amazing how Tim Holtz can look at a product and see how it can be made easier to use, and more versatile to use.
1.  These markers come in 37 colors.  36 colors to match the distress ink pads, AND picket fence.  (yes WHITE on black)
2.  These pens are water based so they react to water for blending.
3.  The color is translucent
4.  The markers are dual tipped.  One end has a detail brush, the other a fine tip for writing.
5.  You can stamp with black archival ink,a nd color in the design or you can use them directly on the stamp with no need to rush for fear you will loose the ink.
6.  No more worring about "light to dark" or needing 12 colors of green for proper shading...these markers can be blended and you can even work from dark to light.

After Gina helps you pick out the papers and some embellishments to use,  you will make 2 pages using photos you bring, Gina will teach you how to use ribbon, fibers, tearing, brads, tags, inking stamping, buttons, chipboard, distressing techniques and flowers. (You will not be making this layout. You will be creating a layout using papers you and Gina pick out.  This layout just shows some of the techniques you will learn.)  $15

We are so excited to have one of the creators of Magenta stamp company come visit us.

 tbeck5

Nathalie Mtivier started in her childhood to draw and exhibit her work. With her sister Hlne and Daniel, her brother-in-law, she helped, 20 years ago, to create Magenta Rubber Stamps. One of her many tasks is to be part of the creative team. She drew many of the images as well as she invented the "direct-to-paper" and the "Ghost" coloring techniques. In addition, she is a certified Ranger instructor. She appeared several times on Carol Duvall Show as well as on Magenta's own videos. She is co-author with Leslie Conron Carola of the books Magenta Style Paper Magic and Magenta Style Paper Enchantments. Most of all, she likes to share ideas and techniques with others.

Once again we have received lots of great shares from our talented customers.  Katie Ford made this fun funky folded card.   She added some great stamped and Copic colored images.  I love that she "sewed" the twine through the die cut eyelet circles.

tbeck5

Jackie P. also had the idea to sew her photo mat and make a cute spiral embellishment out of the twine.

tbeck5

Helen W. made this fun layered card.  She used the paper to punch the cute butterflies she used as a boarder and also to make the Tim Holtz rosette flower center.

tbeck5

Kathy B. combined both sides of the double sided paper on her card.

tbeck5

Alice created a fun notepad cover with her paper and made the butterfly into a button for her twine to go through.

I have been busy playing on Pinterest and created some boards for Cards, Demo Day and inspiration. Check out our boards here.
