Demo Day
Join us for 16 great projects all just $2 each. The extra seats have really cut down on the lines.  If you haven't seen our new set up, you should be pleasantly surprised.  We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 11 AM and purchase tickets at the front counter for however many Demos you want to create. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. If you get to the store by 3PM, you should have enough time to do all the demos or get kits to go.

If you complete 6 demos, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your purchases for the day (not including special orders or other sale special offers).

To bring a little touch of Spring to February's Demo Day, you will be making a floral card at Cindy's table (with the beautiful Hero Arts stamp Fleurettes) with colors that I feel evoke early Spring - bright pink and green.

 37 New Distress Ink Markers

You might have questions about markers.....
Markers have been around forever..right?
Copics are wonderful and are the best marker...why does anyone need more?
It's amazing how Tim Holtz can look at a product and see how it can be made easier to use, and more versatile to use.
1.  These markers come in 37 colors.  36 colors to match the distress ink pads, AND picket fence.  (yes WHITE on black)
2.  These pens are water based so they react to water for blending.
3.  The color is translucent
4.  The markers are dual tipped.  One end has a detail brush, the other a fine tip for writing.
5.  You can stamp with black archival ink,a nd color in the design or you can use them directly on the stamp with no need to rush for fear you will loose the ink.
6.  No more worring about "light to dark" or needing 12 colors of green for proper shading...these markers can be blended and you can even work from dark to light.

Sorry this took me so long to post.  I also missed a few names.  Please email me if I missed you or your name and I will fix this post.  Thanks for all the great inspiration!

Angie Gittles combined some fun patterned papers on this card.  I love the faux sunburst quilting on this card.

Kelly Hooker created this fun stamped card.  I love how she used the hearts as leaves on a flower.

Jane combined a little BasicGrey and a little Pure Innocence equal one adorable card.

I love how Jill Botelier cut the flowers in half and used them to edge her circle.  The subtle versamark heart stamp for the background tied it all together.

Missy Gosson thought outside the box.  The layering of the black scalloped mat and coaster made such a cute hanging piece.

Carolyn Simmons had a similar idea but she used a mini canvas and easel for her lovely creation.

We only had one layout entry but it perfectly captured the theme.  I just love doilies on lauyouts and cards.

My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart

My Mind's Eye has done it again! I honestly adore everything in the new collections! And, yes, most of it has come home with me. The wood plank papers are to die for with their rustic, yet feminine flair. I used these papers as my backgrounds for a layout of my beach weekend with my high school girlfriends last summer. It provided the perfect feel for my beachy layout. The new popular polygon designed papers are another fave of mine. I cut out some of the shapes and pop-dotted them for extra dimension. Two mini albums on the page house other photos that are not as exciting but still important enough to me that I wanted to record them. The albums were cut from more MME papers and bound together with jute and a trinket pin from their collection. My postcard journaling block is actually cut from one of the MME papers too. The gorgeous yellow bling and the other embellishments all also came from these gorgeous line. You have to come in and see it for yourself! But, hurry it is going fast . . . .
