Beginning December 11th, come to Photo Scraps to receive your 12 Days of Christmas punch card. The card contains 12 numbered gingerbread men that correspond with a special discount. Each time you come into Photo Scraps from December 11th until December 23d, you can choose which of the 12 discounts you would like to use. Once the discount has been used, we will punch the ornament on your "12 Days of Christmas" punch card. If you complete all 12 discounts, you will receive a $10 Gift Coupon.

We want our out-of-town customers to join in the "12 Days of Christmas" celebration with us too. So here is how we can offer you the same deals, call us at the store to use the "12 Days" punch card. If you would like to use more than one of the discounts, simply call each day and let us know which discount you would like. We will keep a record of your name and your orders. We can ship each item individually, hold them for pick up, or hold them all and ship them once you are finished using the punch card.

If you missed Demo Day, you are in luck that we have a few of these projects left for you to creat on Friday.  We will also be adding New Projects.


Join us for 12 great projects all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 4PM and purchase tickets at the front counter for however many Demos you want to create. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner.  Oh, we will be serving Free Rootbeer with the Demos.

It's all about the embellishments. After Gina helps you pick out the papers and some embellishments to use,  you will make 2 pages using photos you bring, Gina will teach you how to use ribbon, fibers, tearing, brads, tags, inking stamping, buttons, chipboard, distressing techniques and flowers. (You will not be making this layout. You will be creating a layout using papers you and Gina pick out.  This layout just shows some of the techniques you will learn.)  $15

Scrapping 101 with Gina
Do you want to get started scrapbooking but don't know where or how to start? Are you overwhelmed by all the choices when you come in to shop? Do you have boxes of photos under the bed and don't know what to do next? Then this is the class for you!
 
Gina will teach you all you need to know to make your first scrapbook pages. You will learn how to use tools, pick colors and how to adhere your photos safely. Please bring 4-8 photos and you will complete your first page in class. Fee $12

Little Yellow Bicycle Winter Twig
 
If you are like me, you may not be ready for snow yet, but just like Christmas, it will be here before you know it! And if you are like me, you already have snow pictures from our freak storm on October 29th! So it is a good thing we have already got a new winter line from LYB called winter twig. I used 3 different paper prints and a variety of embelishments from this line to make my 2 page spread. I also used color box ink in blue lagoon (my fav.) to distress edges of white cardstock to make them pop off the page. While getting design inspiration from a magazine, I read an article about "clustering". You may already do this and not know there was a term for your design! It consists of grouping things (like photos, words, or embelishments) together on your page by layering to add balance to a title or ground a journal spot, or even draw the eyes to your photos. I like it because it allows you to use many embelishments together without looking junky! So I went nuts with chip elements, transparancies, cardstock stickers, chip titles, and label stickers! They also have borders and cool snow flakes to add to your projects, even some embelishments with glitter for those of us who like some sparkle! I played with my large variety of embelishments until I got it clustered enough for my eyes to enjoy without being overpowered by stuff on my pages. Remember, there is no wrong way in scrapbooking, only how your eyes like to see things! So try something new, like clustering, I am going to try clustering something else next month!tbeck5
