Happy Hour Demos with Free Beer
Join us on Friday September 30th from 4-9 PM for our Happy Hour Demo evening. We will be putting out 5 cards from our Demo Day along with new layouts and new cards. Join us for 12 great projects all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 4PM and purchase tickets at the front counter for however many Demos you want to create. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. Oh, we will be serving Free Rootbeer with the Demos.
There is a new Layout of the Week this Sunday. Just $6 at the front counter.

It's all about the embellishments. After Gina helps you pick out the papers and some embellishments to use, you will make 2 pages using photos you bring, Gina will teach you how to use ribbon, fibers, tearing, brads, tags, inking stamping, buttons, chipboard, distressing techniques and flowers. (You will not be making this layout. You will be creating a layout using papers you and Gina pick out. This layout just shows some of the techniques you will learn.)

Jen Starr is a fully Certified and Ranger Recognized Instructor. She was the 2007-2008 Design Team Coordinator for Ranger Industries and continues to teach and do private design work for them. She enjoys being a Golden Embassador for Tattered Angels, an Endorsed Instructor for Prima and was the Lead Creative Designer for Canvas Concepts. More recently she has become certified with Ten Seconds Studio and has added some metal work to her inky class line-up! Jen has designed several signature product lines and her projects have been featured in many publications in the US and Europe including the "Ink Essentials" book.
Jen absolutely loves to teach her students to use their creativity and help them think outside the box. It makes her so happy to be able to share her skills, knowledge and love of the art of scrapbooking and stamping with so many others.

I've been busy creating with Authentiquesince I became a teacher for them!! I love their products so it's not hard! LOL I'm getting tons of projects done so I can get all the details to all the stores that I plan to teach at!! This latest class is made with cooking cutting mats and other non-craft items. You will be playing with a lot of the new Authentique papers, Hambly transparencies, and more! You will also be able to create a book within your book. You will enjoy and love creating this book with paints, library pockets, name holders, knobs and more! I'm super excited about this project and I'll be showing you how to use that piece of 12x24 paper that Authentique makes!

25 Days of Christmas Album
Come and create a festive mixed medium project that is filled with dimension and pizazz! You will be using the NEW Christmas collection "25 Days of Christmas" by Simple Stories, playing with tools by Epiphany Crafts, working with an album that Suzy helped design by Basically Bare and more! There will painting, spritzing and stitching! Supplies needed: 12"trimmer, fine-tip scissors, foam squares, glue dots, strong liquid adhesive (Helmar's or zip dry), strong double sided tape, ink blending tool, ink pads in browns, deep greens & reds, distresser (TM has to use if you don't have one), sander, paper piercer, needle for stitching. Class Fee: $45

Halloween Party!
This new line from Bella Blvd. called "Too Cute to Spook" is so adorable! It seemed a perfect match to use with the pictures I just developed from last year's Halloween party. I love happy papers, big shocker to those of you who know me. In fact, it seems to be the biggest compliment I can pay to papers I like it to say that they seem "happy!!" Guess my simple little mind just likes happy things! I find I gravitate towards stripes and other small prints, so the star paper and the word paper that I used as the background on both pages were perfect for me. I love the purple velvet ribbon that i used down the left page, notice the simple knot at the top for extra oomph. I used a bit of that same ribbon on the right that I stapled with my all-time favorite tool, the Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz. Hope you like this. Anyone else mourning the loss of the Steelers at that horrible, terrible game this Sunday? wowza, that was bad! Still always will be a Steelers fan--go black and gold! See you soon, Lisa H
