Demo Day
Saturday May 21 11-4 PM
Join us for 12 great projects, yes 12, all just $2 each. We will have a variety of cards and layouts for you to create. We do the cutting and you do the gluing. Just drop in anytime after 11 AM and purchase tickets at the front counter for however many Demos you want to create. We provide glue sticks so if you prefer tape, please bring a labeled tape runner. If you get to the store by 3PM, you should have enough time to do all the demos or get kits to go.
If you complete 8 demos, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your purchases for the day (not including special orders or other sale special offers).
Our last Demo Day we tried something a bit different for our scrapers and it worked so well that we are doing it again. We will have 5 all new one page layouts all bagged up. You can either make them at the demo table or take them home to put together. We will only have about 20 of each layout and once they are gone, they are gone. Gina designed all these layouts and will be on hand if you want to stay and create the layouts.
Linda will be making this great layered card.
Tina created a pair of great graduation cards.
Mandy will be doing some paper piecing for this fun tea card.
Cindy is revisiting the butterflies.
Show Us your Bag Lady Bags!
Flat Lisa loves to travel and she knows to always have her Bag Lady Bag on hand. Show us where you take your Bag Lady Bag. Post your photos on our Facebook page for all to see. Once you post your photo, you will recieve a $5 gift certificate. At the end of each month, will have a drawing for all who posted photos for a $25 gift certificate. Each person can post one photo a month for store credit.

Updated May Calendar
Remember - Advance
registration and payment is required for all classes
and crops. If we do not know you are coming to class, we will not be prepared for you. Our class sizes are limited and do sell out so be sure to call us as soon as you know you want to sign up for a class. Some classes are available as kits, just ask our staff. You should always bring your basic tool kit (Adhesive, Scissors & Trimmer) to classes. Refunds will be given with 24 hours advance notice of cancelation.
The only events on our calendar that are Drop-in events are our two Demo Days, Creative Cafe Days and Wacky Wednesday Stamp Camp.

Avocado Arts
Lisa Hetrick will be teaching a combination Avocado Arts and technique class. Everyone in the class will be getting their own stamp set to use while making these fun projects. There will be 5 projects in all. If you prepay for the class, you may get your stamp set as soon as they come in. Fee $27

Flower Making Frenzy
Learn how to make 12 different flowers complete with flower pot.
Please bring scissors, hot glue gun and extra glue, embossing stylus or rub-on roller. If you happen to have the tool kit from Punch Bunch, bring it. Regular tape runners will not be strong enough to hold on many of the flowers that we are making. Fee $24

Fancy Pants Beach Bum and Beach Babe
Maybe I need to "get a life" but I live for fabulous beach lines! Perhaps because I always long for days at the beach and scrapbooking those pictures is the best way to get a peice of that
paradise. Fancy Pants Beach Bum collection (and Beach Babe!) fill that need for me. One of the easiest layouts to create begins with a transparency for me as most of the design work is already done. I put three matted photos beneath so the curlique waves would artistically overlap my pix. Then I put one small, matted photo on top of the transparency as it looks like my son's boogie board ride is exploding out of the wave. Are you intimidated by rubons? The easiest application ever is on a transparency. The rubon literally glides on with barely a "rub". The fish, the words-filled-circle over the sun, and the title all came from the rubons. I added Glossy Accents to the fish and sun to give them a slick finish. Page two began with cutting waves, layering them, and popping them up. The bottom wave is actually a chipboard border from Technique Tuesday that I inked to match. Using the Strips paper I cut out words and arrows, laid them on twine, and topped with Glossy Accents to create a rustic-looking beach sign.
Not surprisingly, this line is swimming out the door, so don't delay. Come in and get your little peice of summer!!! Lisa (a.k.a. Flat Lisa)

One nice feature of the new site is the Event Calendar. It lists each class and event in date order. There is a photo of the event, important details about your classes and you can even register and pay with PayPal online! Check out the photos in the Photo Gallery.
I've been working hard to create an interactive website for all our customers to get together online, chat, post layouts, get store & class information, videos and downloads. The first thing you need to do is register for the site. It's free. Then, you will be able to introduce yourself in the forum and post layouts in the gallery.
