News from Ed and Luci Kivett, Innkeepers
Although it isn't officially spring , we sure have enjoyed the recent spring-like weather here in northeast Georgia! Our gardens are already showing signs of life and we are always ready this time of year to see the meadow turn green and flowers begin to bloom with brilliant color.
In this issue we have highlighted several exciting opportunities coming up at Glen-Ella Springs Inn in the next couple of months. One in particular is an Innkeeping seminar in April. Most folks who come to Glen-Ella have a love for Inns and many of you have told us that you yourselves have often considered an Innkeeping career. The seminar led by noted Inn consultants Bill Oates and Heide Bredfeldt was absolutely one of the most critical steps Luci and I took in becoming Innkeepers. Bill and Heide's passion for and knowledge of the industry is second to none! It is truly an investment you will want to make as you explore your dream of being an Innkeeper.
So whether you join us for one of these special weekends, a corporate retreat or just a time to get away from it all, we look forward to seeing you at Glen-Ella Springs Inn soon!

Exciting Restaurant News!
|
|
This past fall we installed clear roll down siding panels on the dining terrace. The panels give us the ability to use the dining terrace much earlier than in years past because they can be rolled down when the temperature drops. During the warmer months, the sides will be completely rolled up for open air dining. Even with the sides down guests will still enjoy the view of the gardens and the enclosure creates an enchanting ambiance in the evening with all our specialty lighting. Patio dining will be available to guests as early as mid-March
Also, a change in the county law has allowed Glen-Ella's restaurant to offer a larger variety of wines and specialty beers. While we will continue to offer several of Georgia's more popular varieties, we are no longer limited to Georgia wines only. This new service comes at a great time as we welcome an early spring. Kindly note: Georgia law does prohibit brown bagging to our restaurant.
