News from Ed and Luci Kivett, Innkeepers
No matter where you live, we would imagine
that this year more than ever, you were ready for
Spring and what a glorious spring it has been so
far! The gardens at Glen-Ella have really been
showing off, and we certainly must give a lot of credit
to Marilla Martin, Glen-Ella's gardener for over 12
years, and her sister Carolyn Simmons who has been
helping her the past several years care for every
detail. In addition to providing a beautiful
backdrop to 2 wonderful weddings in April, our leisure
and corporate guests have thoroughly enjoyed
watching all the different flowers and plants
bloom. Nancy Smith, who helps out in several
areas at the Inn, continues to work with her husband
Jimmy on creating the trails around the Inn, and as
soon as she completes the first loop, we'll send some
pictures. We've already positioned benches
along the creek path and guests have found them to
be the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
Another reason we look forward to spring is the
opportunity to welcome our friends who return to their
homes on Lake Rabun, Seed and Burton. As a
reminder, when making dinner reservations, our
covered, outdoor dining terrace is available for those
who prefer to bring their own favorite variety of wine to
enjoy with their meal.
Whatever your travel plans are this season, we hope
you'll include a visit to our north Georgia mountain
bed and breakfast Inn. See you soon!
