As we take time to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, we feel extremely blessed as we reflect on the great summer we had here at the Inn. In addition to welcoming returning and new guests on leisure getaways, we had many wonderful wedding weekends and feel priviledged to have been a part of such a special time in people's lives. We wish all of our new couples many blessings in the years ahead!
In this issue, you will see a number of new offerings for later this fall and winter, including Dinner at Dusk, an early dining option beginnning in November. Our new chef, Patrick Hodge and the rest of our talented kitchen team are creating some wonderful new specials. It's still not too late to make reservations for a Thanksgiving getaway at the Inn, and look also for a special Georgia Wine Highway package in December. So whether you are coming to have a scrumptous dinner by the fireplace in our cozy dining room or looking to get away from it all and enjoy all that the northeast Georgia area has to offer, we hope you'll include Glen-Ella Springs in your plans. Chef Patrick Hodge

Food - Glen-Ella boasts two professionally trained culinary chefs. Patrick Hodge from Athens, GA recently joined Glen- Ella Springs Inn as Head Chef. With a degree in culinary arts from the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Atlanta and extensive fine dining experience with other north Georgia restaurants and catering services, Chef Patrick brings a level of unsurpassed expertise and creativity to the restaurant. Joined with recently promoted Sous Chef Andrew Gibson, who holds a culinary degree from North Georgia Technical College, this talented duo is extremely gifted and ingenious in the kitchen. In addition to preparing the traditional signature dishes for which Glen- Ella is famous, Chef Patrick and Sous Chef Andrew Gibson, will delight you with creations that are appealing in presentation as well as taste.

Service - Maria Hill was recently promoted to our Dining Room Manager. Maria's energy and professionalism further promotes the entire dining experience with her genuine hospitality and dedication to service. With extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, guests are assured of the utmost care when they choose to dine at Glen-Ella Springs Inn.

Ambiance- the charm and personality of this historic gem begins with the idyllic setting. The natural heart pine paneled walls and seeded glass windows in the dining room of this 134 year old building create an atmosphere of warmth and contentment, uniquely setting the stage for not only a feast for your eyes but your palate as well.

Georgia WineGrowers Association of Georgia is sponsoring its first Winter Wine Highway Weekend, December 11-13, 2009. As a participating affiliate of the association, we are offering a weekend package which includes 2 nights lodging in a queen room; wine and cheese on arrival; weekend admission for two to all participating wineries; dinner for two one evening at Glen-Ella's restaurant and chauffer driven chartered transporation to 3 area wineries by Glen-Ella's Innkeeper, Ed Kivett on Saturday, December 12th. Package Price $495.00. (Price does not include applicable taxes or service fees. $70.00 allowance on dinner one night.)
