U.S. News & World Report analyzed data on 5453 Medical Centers producing this year's list of Best Hospitals in 2008. Of 16 specialties rankings only 170 hospitals were ranked in one or more specialties. Of those, just 19 hospitals were Honor Roll candidates. To qualify for Honor Roll status a hospital had to achieve a high score, based upon a point system, in six or more specialties.
