Students Make Items for Huntsman Cancer Institute

Business Week is underway at the Huntsman School of Business, and it aims to introduce students to a host of clubs, activities, and programs, while mixing in a service project and a free concert by a group called Recycled Percussion.
In recent years, students at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business have spent much of Business Week raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. This year the students contributed time, instead, by participating in an all-day service project aimed at directly benefiting Institute patients, said Huntsman Business Senator Jeff Parker.

The "Big Hole" is for Underground Utilities

Huntsman Students returned this fall to discover a giant hole in front of the George S. Eccles Business Building, 14 new professors, and new curricula in the classroom.
It looks almost as if construction crews are putting in a swimming pool in front of the Eccles Business Building, but they are not. The new work will allow them to extend the existing campus underground utility tunnels to the Eccles Business Building and eventually to the new construction, Huntsman Hall.

Scott Schaefer to Fill Prestigious Position

Scott Schaefer is the Jon M. Huntsman Presidential Visiting Professor.
| Scott Schaefer, who was recently appointed as a Jon M. Huntsman Presidential Visiting Professor, is recognized for his research using economic theories to explore how people relate to each other within organizations. During the fall 2012 semester, he will teach an undergraduate managerial economics class at the Huntsman School and will hold several seminars for faculty and students.

I had a vocational nightmare once that nearly spoiled all things Star Trek for me for years to come.
I used to work for a large company that would give out bonuses to employees as incentives when the company did well. Several times they held a big event to announce the results. I was a member of a small group of communications people who were tasked with making this announcement event memorable and motivational. We took great pride in our work and the rare opportunity to be truly creative.
