principal's message: we're off to a great start!

This school year has begun wonderfully well, with a lot of participation from everyone. Students have been attending classes with positive enthusiasm, as well as attending games and school events in large numbers. Parents have been attending class coffees and dinners, Back-to-School Nights, and other events in good numbers, too. We hope students and parents continue to participate in the opportunities that Langley has to offer.

Our website, www.fcps.edu/LangleyHS, has a new website curator. At this point, we believe all the information is up to date, and we are confident we will be able to keep the information timely and useful. If you see anything that needs correcting, email the curator at <saxoncountry@gmail.com>.

I wish to extend my thanks also to the PTSA for its continued support. The PTSA's hard work and enthusiasm made the start of this school year one of the best and most positive. Thank you. ~ Matt Ragone

ptsa message: technology investments

Thanks to ALL families who generously contributed to the PTSA; we appreciate each and every donation! This PTSA appropriations process is new this year to Langley, so it's taking longer than expected to compile a complete list of the technology needs. To date, the faculty has requested approximately $12,000 in software and equipment that will enhance the classroom curriculum, and the science department has requested approximately $90,00 for two classroom sets of laptops. The requests are continuing to come in, so please keep your donations coming in!

We will keep you updated on the requests and let you know exactly what your generous contributions are funding. ~Betsy Shomaker, PTSA President & Lea Ann Edwards, PTSA President-Elect
