The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (www.esgr.org) presented the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology the "Seven Seals Award" to recognize the school's flexibility that allowed Dr. Scott Amos to contribute to their organization in a very significant way. The award was presented by Major General Timothy Reisch, South Dakota Adjutant General for the both the South Dakota Air and Army National Guard on Wednesday, December 14thin the Surbeck Center. While this is the seventh award presented in the state, it is the first time it has been given to an organization. The ESGR Seven Seals Award depicts the heraldry seals of the seven military services and is presented to an individual or organization that has made significant contribution towards the ESGR mission. ESGR is a Department of Defense volunteer agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. ESGR recognizes outstanding support, increases awareness of the law, and resolves conflicts through informal mediation. |
