 WHERE IS SHE GOING

Cowichan Valley soccer star Elise Wyatt is officially a Blue Demon with DePaul University in Chicago.

Grade 12 student Wyatt received a full-ride scholarship for the next four years and is enrolled in its honours accounting program.

Wyatt previously attended Frances Kelsey Secondary but left this year for Elgin Park in order to be involved in the Vancouver Whitecaps' women's residency program.

VANCOUVER ISLAND WAVE

The Wave has started play in the inaugural season of the BC Soccer Premier League. Over the winter break there were some changes and additions to the coaching staff. Salt Spring Island's technical director Joe Bratanovic has take over the reigns of the girls U13 team and Prospect Lake's John Eldridge has joined Janelle Smith with the U15 girl's team. Ex LISA metro players Tyler Hughes and Tobin Whitmarsh have moved from the boys side to take over the coaching duties with the U14 girls.

Brian Davis, LISA District Scheduler

As the 2011-2012 season draws to a close we want to thank Brian Davis, the LISA District Scheduler.  It is Brian who draws up all the LISA schedules for league play, cup play, rescheduled games, LISA tournaments and makes sure that we all follow the rules set out by LISA, BC Soccer and CSA constitutions.  Needless to say it is a huge job which demands someone with a tremendous amount of patience and knowledge of intersecting rules.

 Thank you Brian!

Do you know the Coach of the Year?
Each year LISA accepts club nominated Coach of the Year and Youth Referee of the Year nominations.  If you'd like to nominate someone please contact your club president before April 17th.
