Youth to Youth Permits for Beginners

The permit system was created to help give players an opportunity to play at a higher level.

A receiving "team" may permit up to 3 players per league game.

There is no limit on the number of times a player may be permitted.

You can not permit in any cup games.

You can only permit a player going to play in a higher division (gold, silver, bronze) and higher or equal age level.  The best example is you can not permit a U16 gold player to play U17 silver because that is not a higher or equal age level, but you can permit a U16 silver player to either U16 gold or U17 silver or U17 gold.

Read more examples of on our website under Rules and Regulations or find the form under Forms.

Field Closures - What should I do?

If you are unable to play your scheduled game due to a field closure, please advise your score recorder and attempt to reschedule the game.

You must advise your score recorder, LISA scheduler ([email protected]) and your club schedulers (i.e. field, referee) of any changes to the original schedule.

Does a high score count for more at LISA?
All victories, no matter what the score, are worth three points. There are no bonus points for goals scored.

Lower Island Soccer Association does not use any form of goal differential, goal ratio, goals scored or goals allowed as a tiebreaker in determining placings in league tables, including which team is the league champion.  Play with spirit and please do not run up scores.

Can I switch soccer teams?
BC Soccer
There are many instances when you can change teams.  The best advice we can give you is to work with your coaches and registrar if you are interested in permanently switching teams. Any player who permanently moves from one team to another team after October 1st (regardless of club affiliation) is considered a BC Soccer Transfer.   The receiving team must have space according to LISA constitution 13.3.  For example, Peninsula U14 girls silver is permitted 3 out-of-boundary players.  If they have 2 out of boundary players then they have space for one more so a BC Soccer transfer would be permitted.  The player can move to any division (gold, silver or bronze) and/or any age for which they officially qualify.  The end of all player movement is January 15th.

The BC Soccer Transfer form and $10 fee payable to BC Soccer applies.
