Vancouver Whitecaps and LISA Players

Did you know the Vancouver Whitecaps run a full-time residency program.  Many LISA players were recently invited to the combine and five Metro players have been offered a place in the program.

Congratulations to the girls Elyse Wyatt, formerly of Cowichan Valley Youth Soccer and Emma Fletcher formerly of Gordon Head Soccer Association.

As well as Hamish Walde, formerly with Salt Spring United, Brian Im formerly of Gordon Head and Dario Zanatta who started at the Gorge Soccer Association before joining LISA Metro.

We will miss them as players and as people, however we are very proud of them and wish them well on their journey towards professional soccer.

Fall programming

The Lower Island Soccer Association is pleased to continue our LISA Academy with coaches David Molinari and Kevin Nunn next season.

Age groups will be from 7 years old to 12 years old.

Sessions will run Sunday afternoons for ten weeks starting in September, January and May.  They will run at Colville and have the benefit of a state-of-the-art indoor gymnasium if weather conditions prevent us from playing outside.

The correct call

d) Corner Kick

Do it today
Referees are obliged to make all players take out jewelry before playing.  If you want to get piercings it is adviced you do it in the off-season so the hole can form before game day.
