Quote of the Month

Self-focus is a necessary phase on your journey, but once you see yourself realistically, through objective self-observation, it's time to shift your attention from yourself to the world. (when looking in a mirror, notice the frame)

What is Coaching?

Using solution focused coaching methods, the coach can assist people to free themselves from internal mind tangles. Many individuals are trapped by small fears or confusions and held hostage by them. People with high aspirations move past these 'gremlins' through simply partnering with a coach. Their attention can then become relaxed around their ultimate direction towards excellence.

What do you wish to achieve? Take advantage of coaching and move toward your goals. Be the change.

The Most Inspirational Video You Will Ever See
The Most Inspirational Video You Will Ever See
Nick Vujicic believes he's like everybody else. It's everybody else that thinks he's different. His message is simple:

"It's a lie to think you're not good enough" and "It's a lie to think you're not worth anything"

This should be tough to say for a man with no arms and legs, but instead he's grateful for all he has in life and spends no time being upset for what he doesn't have. He sees himself as having no limitations, and he sees the world and those in it the same way, with no limitations.

What do you see?

He may not have limbs, but what he does have is a strong belief in what is possible and a much bigger vision of his purpose in life.

I agree with Nick that you have to have a vision big enough to stretch you beyond your limitations. He says there was a time when he was younger where he would repeatedly say "I wish I had arms and legs, I wish I had arms and legs" until he realized that all the wishing in the world wouldn't make it so.

But he wasn't limited.

He only thought he was at the time until he realized, if he continued to think he was limited, by not having arms and legs, he would be.

But he wasn't limited.

How many of us spend time thinking each day about what limits us instead of what we are capable of?

He said "you keep on concentrating on the things you wish you did have or the things you wish you didn't have, and you sort of forget what you do have."

What gifts and talents do you have?

"It's a lie to think you're not good enough" and "it's a lie to think you're not worth anything."

Nick Vujicic believes he is good enough and worthy enough, and sees himself not defined by his disability but in fact enhanced by it. He is not stopped from living a "normal life," but in fact, lives an "extraordinary life," one filled with a larger purpose.

If you've read my previous newsletters you'll notice a theme that is beginning to weave its way through each story and is building to a crescendo that might best be summed up in this quote by William Shakespeare

"There is nothing good or bad but only thinking that makes it so"

Nick's message is simple - you are good enough and worthy enough to have happiness. Believe it!

And I couldn't agree more.

Take the time to celebrate the one that is you.

Happy New Year!
