Dear MBA Family,
This week-end, our nation will remember the shocking events of 10 years ago on September 11. Some have called it "the day that America lost its innocence." Approx. 3,000 innocent Americans were killed in the terrorist attacks. It is sad that it sometimes takes a tragedy to unite us or motivate us to do more for our community. Next Thursday, Sept. 15, all MBA students and many staff members will be out working in our local community for our first of two "Project Blitz" service days this year. The day will begin at 8:00am with worship in Baker Chapel followed by the entire school heading out for community service day. This is one way we can fight terrorism and teach our students that we can make a big difference and serve our communities without having to go very far. Looking Ahead
|
It should be a relatively quiet week-end on campus for us, in contrast to our busy football week-end last week. Tonight, the Junior class of 2013 will be presenting Friday night vespers at 7:30pm in the outdoor bowl near the Gregory home. Pastor Jeff Deming will be speaking for church on Sabbath at 11:10am in the sanctuary. His sermon is titled "In Commemoration."
 | Dr. Tim Reisenberger |
Next week will be our fall Week of Prayer with special guest Dr. Tim Reisenberger. (click for Monday and Friday special schedule, Tues, Wed, Thurs special schedule) Please pray for God's spirit to cover our campus and prepare our hearts. Tuesday and Wednesday will be standardized ITED test days. Thursday will be our first "Project Blitz" community service day. Our first homeleave of this year will begin on Wednesday, September 28 at 12:25pm. Classes will resume on Monday, Oct. 3.
