Dear music parents,
My, how time flies. Is it really almost the end of third quarter? One more quarter to go. The final quarter will include final concerts for all the groups, the big music tour to Vancouver, a mini-tour to Visalia/Sierra View, and of course hours of music making, rehearsing and practicing to prepare for such events. Please make sure you are checking the concert schedule to keep abreast of upcoming engagements.

Tour Attendance Policy
|
For those who missed it in the last email:
It has become ever more apparent that I have not communicated the tour attendance policy with enough clarity. There have been several concerned parents contacting me over the last month, and for that I apologize. So here it is, straight from the horses...fingers:
The music department and administration at MBA feel music tours to be of great value to our students. It provides them a plethora of spiritual, mental, social, cultural, and of course musical growth opportunities. Therefore, we strongly encourage all students to attend. However, and especially in these trying economic times, we also recognize that such a trip may not be a viable option for all participants. For this reason, no student's grade will be docked in any way due to non-participation in the major tour.

Tour Payments
|
The updated tour payment spreadsheet can be accessed here. As you can see, most are behind in the payment process. February 18 saw very few $250 payments. The final $100 is due in April, but the rest should be paid by now. Please make every effort to get that money in asap.
The business office would also like me to remind you that your bill has to be current within 45 days in order to participate on tour. Paying for tour but not for your bill is a no-go.

Passport

Do it now...unless you already did.
And don't forget the notarized consent forms. I have received 3 out of the 48 I need.
