"I feel a certain pride toward MBA.  I feel it is a school that really develops a child's character.  Compared to other schools I have seen, MBA seems so personal and because of the boarding school experience, it is like a family.  I feel very attached to MBA and being at MBA makes me feel like part of a kind of special 'club', a club connected with God that has many members that all have that same feeling

Dear MBA Family,

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12, the author Paul talks about the importance of the body of Christ.  Christians, as with the human body, consist of many different parts forming one unit.  Today I'd like to pay a special tribute to all those people who work tirelessly behind the scenes here at MBA.  You might be acquainted with me, or some of your children's teachers, but without all the other support staff and volunteers on our campus--we would not be able to function at all.  I'm thankful for those who clean our bathrooms; prepare hundreds of meals each day; serve on the behind the scenes comicschool board; mow our lawns; pause to pray with us; care for our sick students; unclog our toilets; take trips to the airport, town or doctor's office; serve on committees; answer telephones; pay the bills; mentor student workers; raise funds; provide activities and programs; fix our power or water lines (at all hours and in bad weather); lead out in Sabbath school or outreach activities; volunteer in the library, cafeteria or offices; and sponsor outings and trips.  I hope you will take time to appreciate many of those behind-the-scenes people here and in your world this Christmas.
Good Bye Kaplan Family
Dave KaplanIt is with sadness that MBA will be saying good bye to the Kaplan family in January.  Dave and Susan, along with their children Brett '00 and Holly '02, have been part of the MBA family for almost 21 years.  Dave is a highly skilled electrician who wears many different hats.  He is a humble man of integrity and spiritual depth who has always used his many talents to serve others.  The Kaplan's will be moving to their home in Cool, California (NO-REALLY), where Dave will commute 11 miles to his new job/ministry at Weimar College.  He will be their electrician and part of the plant services staff.  We will greatly miss the Kaplan family, but God has clearly orchestrated this transition in their lives.  MBA's loss-is Weimar's gain!
