THE TRUTH IS...
"My conversion to Christ at MBA set my life in a direction that cannot be described in words, because it has been an experience. I could never repay the valuable training and life preparation I received at MBA."
Jose Rojas, Class of 1979
Director, Volunteer Ministries, North American Division of SDA |
"I feel a certain pride toward MBA. I feel it is a school that really develops a child's character. Compared to other schools I have seen, MBA seems so personal and because of the boarding school experience, it is like a family. I feel very attached to MBA and being at MBA makes me feel like part of a kind of special 'club', a club connected with God that has many members that all have that same feeling."
Danica Betts, Class of 2011
Associated Student Body (A.S.B.) Executive Vice President 2010-2011 |
"I am indebted to the teachers and leaders that I now realize were making great sacrifices to work at MBA. The education, discipline, and life-long friendships from my years at MBA are invaluable assets that will live with me forever."
Scott Nelson, M.D., Class of 1988
Medical Director, CURE International, Haiti and Santo Domingo |

Whale watching trip off Monterey coast. | |
From the Principal's Desk
|
Tim Kubrock, Principal | Dear MBA Family,
When Todd Huston's legs got caught in the propeller of a boat at age 14, his life almost ended. He died twice, but was revived both times. He battled through numerous surgeries to keep his legs, but eventually one leg had to be amputated. Next, he decided to overcome his difficulties and began climbing mountains. He set a world record by climbing the highest elevations in all 50 states with ONLY one leg. Todd will be giving an inspirational talk this Sabbath at 3:30pm in the MBA church for our students and visitors. If you are in the area, you won't want to miss this special program. For more information and to see Todd's story on YouTube, go to his web site at: http://toddhuston.com/blog/. |

Risso's Dolphins on whale watching trip |
The Junior English and Marine Biology classes got to see several whales and hundreds of dolphins on their whale-watching trip this week (pictured at top of page). Most of the participants didn't even get seasick!" This week-end MBA is hosting the Junior Varsity Friendship games flag-football tournament. Seven schools will be participating, including Orcas Christian School (WA.); Milo Academy (OR.); Sierra View Junior Academy; Valley View Junior Academy; Mountain View Academy, Central Valley Christian Academy and MBA. Meet the Staff |
Sammi Ridley, Assistant Chaplain | Samantha (Sammi) Ridley comes to MBA all the way from her home in Monbulk, Australia, which is located about one hour from Melbourne on the Eastern Coast. Sammi is working in the MBA Campus Ministries department as our assistant Chaplain this year. She was born and raised on a farm with her 2 brothers and 1 sister. In 2008, she came to Northern California to train at the Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism. After that she worked for the CCC Youth Evangelism Team for the next 2 years. Sammi loves playing sports, reading and drawing. Above all, she wants our young people at MBA to "come to know Jesus as their close and personal friend" this year. She is currently leading out in Bible studies with more than 90 MBA students. One of her favorite texts right now is Jeremiah 33:3-"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." NKJV |
