Aboard Avalanche 

In this photo Terri is aboard Avalanche IV (Ivy for short) at Jim Titus' Mt. Hope Boat Shop in Newport, where the boat is undergoing a refit. Ocean Link will be handling the plumbing, which includes - new sinks and faucets in galley and head, toilet, water heater, holding tank system, a deck shower and a set up for the possible future addition of a watermaker.

 

The owners of Ivy have been OceanLink customers for many years. Their previous boat, also named Avalanche was a custom sailboat that they used seasonally in the Caribbean and New England. Ivy will now serve as their New England pleasure boat out of Jamestown, Rhode Island. 

 
Maintenance Tip
Watermaker Filters 

 

Filters are your first line of defense in smooth operation of your watermaker, so be sure to keep them clean.

 

Filter life will vary based on the environment in which they are used, but you can extend their usable life by cleaning them periodically by soaking them in a bucket of clean water.

 

Refer to your owner's manual for more information on this important tip.
