Money Makes The World Go Around


At the very least, it will help build a new library for Point Roberts. September is Great Change Month where people are asked to donate all the change hanging around the house to the Point Roberts Library Fund. Sterling Savings Bank has offered to receive the money and count it for free. Here, Louise Cassidy, c., and Judy Ross, r., hand the change over to Victoria Robertson.
Sweet deal - Three month's vacation in first year
In the fourth special meeting in a row, fire district commissioners approved the employment contract with Chris Carleton, the district's new fire chief. For a part time job, the pay's pretty good: $40,800 a year. Go to story
 
The Infernal Tower, or news that we've heard before
The latest update from Tower Co., the contractor responsible for installing the cell tower on parks board land on Benson Road is, construction will start this month and be finished by the end of the year.
