Garden Club members came out in the rain to weed the daffodil beds along Tyee Drive last Thursday. Club members have monthly work parties the third Thursday of each month at 3 p.m.

The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee has taken decisive action in voting to recommend three road projects that can be funded through gas tax revenue. Read about the details of the proposed projects and these other stories in the May edition of the All Point Bulletin:
  • The Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce wants to expand this year's July 4 celebration to fill an entire week. Find out how they plan to do it.
     
  • Point Roberts water district commissioners have approved a resolution that allows the district to place liens on properties whose owners have unpaid water bills. Learn the details of this new regulation.      
          
  • Five Blaine High School students will be competing at the national Technology Student Association championships in Nashville. Read how they made it to nationals.     
     
  • The Friends of the Point Roberts Library group has reorganized a bit to allow them to focus on raising funds for a new library. Find out how the group plans to handle fund-raising efforts and how other Point residents can get involved.

Donations Accepted for PTO Garage Sale: Beginning Tuesday, May 1, 1:30 to 4 p.m., Point Roberts Primary School, 2050 Benson Road. The PTO-sponsored garage sale will take place Memorial Day weekend, and donations are needed. Swinging into Spring: Saturday, May 5, 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 3:30 p.m., Cedar Park Church, 5300 44th Avenue, Delta. Featuring the Delta Choral Society and Delta Concert Band. $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and $5 for children under 12.

Cardboard Mini-Golf at Point Roberts Library: Saturday, May 12, 4 to 6 p.m., Point Roberts library. Come after hours and help create a mini-golf course to play golf in the library stacks. For teenagers 12 and up. Game Night to follow, which is open to everyone. Come to the library or call 360/945-6545 to register for mini-golf.
