Buna Ziua from Timișoara!

A Wonderful Beginning
New Friends
Fellowship of Believers

Your prayers are definitely being

felt as we settle in and maneuver our way around in Timișoara, Romania.  We arrived on Tuesday, March 22nd and with the help of Pastor Liviu and others were able to secure necessities for the apartment, arrange language lessons AND get INTERNET within a few days. The believers at Crestina dupa Evanghelie have been warm and welcoming.  It has been a very pleasant and comfortable adjustment so far.  Thank you for being with us through your prayers and support!  God has indeed gone before us and prepared the way!

New Friends!  New Believer!

Daniel and Gabriela lived in the states for many years and recently moved back to Romania.  They speak perfect English and have been a huge help in showing us how to get around the city.  Danny walked with us to find the church, the Areopagus Center, a grocery store and a market.
We also enjoyed a tour of the historic city center where the 1989 Revolution began. We then topped it off with Gabbie's homemade Sarmali! The day after this picture was taken,
Gabbie accepted Christ as her Savior, after hearing John Brown share the gospel here in our living room!

Biserica Cristina Dupa Evanghelie

Jim had opportunity to speak in the Sunday morning service on I Corinthians 1:17-20 (God's wisdom vs. man's wisdom).  We attended one of their home groups on Friday evening and a "family conference" at the church on Saturday afternoon.  It was a full week and we enjoyed every minute!

Casual Saturday morning with Viorica și Elle

Several Titus 2 Woman study groups have formed since the workshop last year.  Viorica visited our apartment, along with Elle, her daughter-in-law who speaks some English.  Through her limited English, Brenda's very limited Romanian and a lot of sign language, it was a great time!

Plans are being made for Brenda to visit the groups as well as a celebration meeting with all the groups together in late April.

God is working in the hearts of these women.  We praise Him for allowing us to see His amazing power!
We'd love to hear from you!

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

We survived our first week of language classes!  Emma, our instructor, is a delightful young woman who is very detailed and patient.  She taught us "survival" and the Romanian alphabet the first day. Then we proceeded into conjugating verbs and forming sentences!  Fun!

Our goal is to be able to form relationships and share the gospel clearly in Romanian!  Please pray for us as we "struggle well!"

Sincerely,
Jim and Brenda

Visitors!

Mike Scheer, John Brown and Sam Buliga were here for a BTCP conference and were able to visit us in our new apartment!

See you soon?  We will be back "home" for a few weeks late April, early May. Time will be short, but we hope to see everyone we can. If not, you are welcome to visit us anytime here in Romania!

Love and God's blessing to all,

Jim and Brenda
