Three-Phase Parallelable UPS for 10 to 100 kVA Applications

We are excited to introduce the FirstLine ® PL - a parallelable three-phase, UPS for 10-100 kVA applications.  With efficiencies up to 95%, this newest addition to the popular FirstLine® family is ideal for network closets, computer rooms and data centers, as well as industrial applications.  True on-line double conversion technology is achieved with IGBT and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) control - enabling delivery of a high input power factor of 0.99 and a low input current distortion of less than or equal to 4%.   

As a standard feature, up to 4 FirstLine® PL units (N + 1) can be run in parallel mode, providing redundancy for mission critical applications with no additional hardware.   All units are hot swappable for maximum flexibility, availability and expandability.  An intelligent battery management system extends battery life - while an optional Battery Replacement Program drives down the cost of ownership.

And each FirstLine® PL includes an industry-leading two-year warranty - and is backed by field service programs including preventative maintenance which lowers total cost of ownership.

The IGBT-based rectifier assembly reduces the impact of the UPS on the local supply and simplified installation where there is limited power capacity in the form of available electrical supply rating or generator size.  FirstLine® PL acts as a high performance filter by protecting upstream power supply sources from any harmonics and reactive power generated by the load's power.

This "Zero Impact Source" provides

• a high input power factor of 0.99
• a low input current distortion of less than or equal to 4% THD, and
• a power walk-in function that ensures progressive rectifier start-up.

The UPS can be supplied from two separate power sources (main power and a second emergency standby source) which can increase the resilience of the parallel system configuration.  A user-friendly control panel is located on the front of the unit includes a menu select display for simple programming and operation.
