| Greetings!
We would like to help you create a warm and inviting home. |
|
Each month, in our Hue Gotta Love it section, we feature some of our fresh and favorite colors to provide you with a little inspiration and entertainment. Here are a few of our favorite paint colors this month.
|
If you want to play with these or other colors, visit the Benjamin Moore website's Personal Color Viewer. Be aware that colors on your monitor look different than in real life. They look different in the paint store, too, for that matter! Be sure to test in YOUR space before you paint. |

Selling a Home? Check out our Staging Tip of the Month...
Are Pets a Possible Turn-Off for Prospects?
According to The Humane Society of the United States:
39% of U.S. households own at least one dog.
Nearly 34% of U.S. households own at least one cat.
This means that between 61-66% of homeowners do not own a cat or dog. Whether the reasons include allergies, aversions or other personal preferences, it's clear that a large portion of prospects viewing your listing with a household pet could turn off a potential buyer. This is why we encourage sellers with pets to come up with creative solutions to keeping pets and their "pet evidence" out of sight when their home is on the market. We know this is inconvenient and not easy, but pet presence can kill a deal and send a perfectly good prospect running. A few tips...
|
- Have your agent specify that you would like to be called prior to showings. This will give you time to load the pets in the car, or call a neighbor to take them on a walk or let them play in their backyard during a showing.
- Store litter boxes and food under a table with a table cloth so the pets can easily access it, but the smell and sight doesn't offend the pet weary.
- Keep gerbil, hamster & guinea pig cages very clean and out of sight for showings.
Have a friend conduct a smell test to make sure your home doesn't smell like a pet lives there! If it does, use scented oils with reeds and stay tuned to our future newsletters on "Avoid Malodorous Mistakes"!
