To kick off the Olympics, on July 27, volunteers from TCS and Tata Sons hosted a Family Fun Day at the SOS Children's Villages of Illinois (SOSCVI) in Chicago where the Wellness Garden by Tata was inaugurated in June. TCS employees and their families participated in a lively afternoon with the children at SOSCVI, engaging in outdoor games like tug of war and various races. Following the games, the children and their families were treated to dinner where each child received a gift of books to bring home through Tata Sons' partnership with First Book.
The event was planned as part of the Tata Sons-SOSCVI partnership, and other Tata Group employees will also have the unique opportunity to directly support the Village's residents through educational workshops, garden workdays and a market day, focusing on nutrition, exercise, sustainability, wellness and gardening.
