CampfireTALKSeptember 2012  -  Week 3

Greetings!

Where have ya' been, pastor Rich?
Well, everyone else gets a "summer vacation", right?  That is where we've been, taking a break.  We've been taking the summer reviewing, reconsidering, and evaluating our ministries and the ministry efforts ... and now that the school season is back ... so are we!

We are always "thankful" ... for YOU.
Remeber that!

Make me proud!

Health Tips!

Do you beat yourself up over your diet choices?  Can you actually enjoy a bar of candy or a milkshake and not beat yourself up over it?  If you can, then you are practicing "good health" habits in your life.  If not, the devil is trying to put a burden on you that you can't bear yourself.

It - is - "OK" ... for you to have a candy bar or a milkshake, or if you sit down to some chips and dip.  It's your life, and your choice.  Now if you continue to do this, regularly, you will see the results.  But an occasional treat is good for you!  It proves that "you" have the food, and that the FOOD does not HAVE YOU!

It's important that "YOU" are the master of your life, and that FOOD is not calling the shots in your life!  You eat what you want, and you DON'T beat yourself up about it.  By developing THIS attitude, you rob the devil of the one thing he would use against you continually in your efforts to loose weight.  The choice is all yours to make!  Weight the cost!  A chocolate bar means you are going to have to spend an hour on the treadmill for 2-3 days to make up for it.  Is it worth it?  YOU make the decision ... and if you decide to go ahead, don't beat yourself up over it!  But "get serious" about beating that weight problem!  I know a lady who says she wants to lose weight, and yet in her kitchen she has glass containers full of candy bars, and pastries on her counter tops, all just waiting for her to compromise!  Be honest with yourself ... either you WANT to lose the weight ... or you DON'T.  And if you choose to PRESS ON and to make it happen, then GET SERIOUS!  You press on and make the effort!  Stay fit, keep your body in shape, and "fight" for a good healthy life ...

A Word from pastor Richbanner - WORD CHURCH -(sm).jpg

Mike Murdock always says this:

"If you want something you have never had, then you are going to have to
do something you've never done!"

My wife and I, like most couples, found that we have allowed ourselves to "get too busy".  We would rise in the morning and just start our day.

One day, I realized this and spoke with my wife about it.  We make a commitment to get up early, and to pray with one another ... for our day, for our family, and for those we care about ... and for our country!

Some mornings when we've got a lot going on, we have to get up at 5:00am to make it happen, but we're that committed to doing it!  We ... "make it happen!"

I encourage you to do this ... make "prayer" a daily habit, a daily routine ... a daily requirement for your life!  If you do I promise you that you will never be the same ...
ever again!

Make me proud!

P. S.  Jerry Savelle, one of my favorite preachers, says
"If it's going to be ... it is up to me!"
