Greetings!
Due to system problems with some recent upgrades to my personal computer, the newsletters that were supposed to go out are late in coming. I apologize for this, and will work to ensure that future issues are done well in advance of their appointed publication dates. In the meantime, "Summer is here"! Rejoice, for it is a time for camping, travel and for vacations and time with family! It is our prayer that your summer and the time of the season is richly blessed ... in Jesus name! -pastors rich & jane- To sign up for our e-newsletter, go to: WORDCHURCH.infoand click on "e-newsletter sign-up". Health Tips! The summer is on, and opportunities to exercise and shed that weight in a good way, are abundant!
Take up camping hiking ... the walk and the constant activity of being outdoors burns a lot of calories! And if you keep your diet healthy while you're there ... you're a "shoe-in" to lose the weight!
In planning a meal recently for our Boy Scout troop Family Campout I had to plan for some vegan parents who would be attending ... as much as I love vegetables, this was a learning experience for me! Maybe we could learn something here ... more "veggies" and less meat!

A Word from pastor Rich The front porch of our home has pillars ... white pillars that elegantly decorate the front porch. One day I noticed that two of these were sinking down into the base pedestal, and the roof was beginning to sag! In having someone evaluate it, it turns out that the builder used 2x4's and plywood to support these!
My first reaction was anger! I was upset that somebody would do such a shoddy job in building my home! But then I decided no problem ... I've got insurance! I would later learn that Home Owner's Insurance is a placebo! It only covers your home if you have catastrophic damage! Now, "I" thought this was catastrophic, but Traveller's Insurance did not. Needless to say, I'm not happy with them.
We got an estimate, and after photos, an analysis of the roof and the pillars, it seemed that I was going to quickly need $15,000.00 dollars to fix this!! Where was I going to get this from?
This reminds me of the time that Kenneth Copeland was going to God with the need for X amount of million dollars - an amount he thought he needed to pay off the satellite bill after holding a momentous worldwide communiion service! It was a fantastic meeting! But the bill was the biggest they'd seen in the entire time of being in the ministry! And he was going to God with this figure.
God's response to him? "You don't need X amount." But he kept saying to God that he needed that amount. Finally, God got his attention and explained to him that he did not need that amount, and He even showed him how! And, in the same way, "we" felt we needed $15,000 dollars to get this project done!
Last Monday, a crew showed up at my door from the Houston area, sent by a dear brother-in-law of mine. In just one day, they fixed all of the problems with the roof and in their analysis they found that the roof damage was NOT as bad as we had thought, and been told. They fixed the entire thing! And the cost? It was a gift from my precious family in the Houston area!
The next time you are faced with an obstacle that seems impossible ... just sit back and laugh. You heard me right, I said "laugh"! Laugh at the devil in this, because MY GOD can do ... "anything"! And in this need ... He did just that! Remember, when your mountain rises before you ... use your faith!
