Ever have a need for a speaker? A minister maybe, to come and speak to your organization? Well, we have several here who are wonderful teachers and ministers of the Word of God. Pastor Jane is a wonderful teacher to women's groups, and she teaches by example. Pastor Margarett has stories of her travels to Africa that will keep you on the edge of your seat. And if you ask me to come and speak, I promise you won't be disappointed! The fastest growing problem in America today seems to be our "lethargy". We just don't want to lift a finger ... to get "anything" done! We have become fat and lazy, literally! And often to make a change in your life or in your group, you have to hear from someone who can stir you up ... someone who can motive you, to "do" what you already know to do! Consider it ... Health Tips! 
The summer is on, and opportunities to exercise and shed that weight in a good way, are abundant!
Take up camping hiking ... the walk and the constant activity of being outdoors burns a lot of calories! And if you keep your diet healthy while you're there ... you're a "shoe-in" to lose the weight!
In planning a meal recently for our Boy Scout troop Family Campout I had to plan for some vegan parents who would be attending ... as much as I love vegetables, this was a learning experience for me! Maybe we could learn something here ... more "veggies" and less meat!

A Word from pastor Rich This past week I was attended a training campout for the Boy Scouts where I went to learn about the Boy Scouts Chaplain program and how things go in troop life in the Boy Scouts.
The organization, though founded on Christian principles and beliefs, is not a "Christian-only" organization. It opens itself up to people of all faiths and religions. And while the principles that are taught are still Godly in nature, they are wide open game for these individual groups who want to take over fledgling groups and turn them as far from Christianity as they possibly can.
The Boy Scouts are sitting ducks for these individuals who have private agendas, bringing the open "oneness" New Age stuff in, under another name. We actually had a "shiek" show up as one of our trainers! You heard me right, with the turban, beard 'n all! He even wore a Boy Scout leader uniform! And he wasted no time in stepping aside from his assigned training agenda (presenting the religious awards and badges) and spent not only his assigned time, but the time aloted for another portion of the training, presenting to us his views on how we all ought to be as Scouts, functioning as chaplains. Naturally this included open "oneness" New Age teachings, under the guise of middle-eastern teachings, and some "let's all get together" philosophies of his, to include agendas for bringing openly practicing gay individuals into scouting - a stance that the Boy Scouts is crystal clear on, and very "against" doing!
If "you" know of a Boy Scout unit in your area, I have one word for you ...
"GET INVOLVED!" Don't wait ... DO - IT - NOW! These folks are influencing the youth of tomorrow! What kind of a future do your children have a hope for if "YOU" don't get involved ... NOW?
Jesus said to His disciples in one of His teachings one day, "the children of darkness are more shrewd in their ways, than the children of light." It was an astute observation! It was true then. And it is so true now! Only a small group of individuals start crying "wolf! wolf$" and then others jump on the bandwagon and begin supporting them, without even thinking about what they are doing! I mean professed "CHRISTIANS" are supporting the very moves against their own faith, and don't even realize it! It's like the frog in the water example. Heat it up slowly, and the poor frog never knows he's about to become someone's table setting! Folks, we "need" to wake up! Or our "Christian" nation and all of the lives that died for it, will only be a short paragraph in the history books, and all of those who have died for those beliefs and those freedoms will have died in vein!
And on that note?
GET OUT AND VOTE!
Vote smart- do your research, and don't just jump on a bandwagon because you like the candidate's color, race, or big smile. You might end up with a handsome dictator, with a nice smile, on your hands!
Use your "noodle" (brain) and KNOW who you are voting for this time!

Pastor Margarett recently traveled to Kenya, on her own, and ministered to hundreds while there! |
