CampfireTALKFebruary 2011  -  Week 4

Greetings!

Looking forward to our meetings this week!
This week we meet at the St. Philip's on Wednesday for a continuation of the classes on "Let Me Introduce You to My Father" ...  a brief 8-week class on the personality and relationship that God has given everything He has to make possible between man, His creation, and Himself.

We also meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm 'til 8:00pm, in our home just a few blocks from St. Philips at:  15612 Poynette Place, Austin Texas 78717.        This meeting is a Bible Study/Teaching session where we get into the Word of God and talk about and learn Bible doctrine, teachings, etc.  In the first few weeks we've spent this time mostly in encouragement and in prayer.  These coming meetings will be focused on prayer, and on "open up your Bible" teaching that will mean you need to come ready to take notes.

With my new work schedule, these have placed added study requirement time on me and on my schedule.  Please keep me in your prayers.  And remember, if you are in a class and you are not getting what you think you need to get from that teacher, before you bale on them go to God.  HE can show you how to "draw out" that anointing and the message that The Spirit has within that teacher, and will light up your class!  Make me proud!

Oh, I just got back from my "Walk to Emmaus" a week ago, and I thoroughly had a fantastic time!!    If you've never been on "a walk", you need to go on one of these!!  They have them both for men, and for women!  For you men and women in ministry, it's a time to get "ministered TO", and yet you'll get ample opportunities to minister yourself, to those around you.  The primary purpose is for YOU to have some time to renew, refresh, and gain new levels of your relationship with your Father, "Daddy", the Creator of all of Heaven and Earth!

Remember this, all of you who subscribe to this publication and read these posts, ...  I really appreciate you!  I love you and value your partnership!!

May me proud!

It's Camping Season! banner - WORD CHURCH -(sm).jpg

My wife and my family, and 'me' too, are all going camping this Spring Break!  If you are someone who loves camping, drop us a line and join us!  We could make it a big Family of God type of Camp Meeting thing!

Spring Break is March 12th thru the 16th, in our area at least.  Jane and I are planning to take the family camping on Thursday, the 15th, and return on Saturday afternoon, the 17th.  At this time, our plans are to camp at KRAUSE SPRINGS in the Spicewood Texas area, not far from what we in this area know as "Paleface Park".  They have showers and restroom facilities, and even a swimming pool, waterfall, swimming hole, and just about all of the things you'd want at a wonderful family atmosphere campground ... except hot water.  Yes, the showers are 68degrees (F), just like the spring-fed swimming pool and swimming hole, folks.  As my ole friend Elton Krause always put it to me (with a big smile on his face), "it's ... freshing"!

Hope to see you there!

If you've ever been interested in "real" CAMP MEETINGS, please see our site:

A Word from pastor Richbanner - WORD CHURCH -(sm).jpg

This life is funny ...
I mean, how we have emotions and often get up and really don't "feel" all that spiritual today.  But you are!
What if you woke up one morning and turned over to your wife and said these words ...

"Honey, I just don't feel married today."
What do you think would happen?

It's a funny way to look at it, but seriously ... what do you think would happen?
Some men, their wife would hit 'em with a skillet and say right back to them, "Well, you're married mack!  Whether you feel like it or whether you don't!  And when you DON'T is when you'd SURELY better ACT LIKE IT!!"

I have those times when I get up in the morning (not the not feel married kind) and I just don't feel all that spiritual.  I don't feel all that much like a pastor or a man of God.  But all I have to do is sit down at my Father's feet and tell Him so.  I just tell Him, "Daddy, I'm not feeling too much like that Man of God You're always looking to me to be."  I assure you, He will be right there to shore you up, to fill you with Himself, and to "charge your spiritual batteries" and make you feel like you are READY FOR THE FIGHT!!

The next time you feel like you're walking alone, or maybe you just don't feel like you're "all that" today ... take a detour and sit at "Daddy's" feet.  Your whole world is about to change ... for the better!!  To borrow a phrase from Fred Zimmerman (Men's Warehouse) ... "I guarantee it!"

Make me proud!
