Greetings!
With 2 weeks of meetings under our belt, things are looking up. Both are going very well. One person said that he heard that night the clearest presentation of atonement and the understanding of the "blood covenant" that had ever been presented. You see, in the Old Testament the blood of the sacrificial lamb being offered "atoned for", or covered, sin. In the Covenant that we are saved by, or the New Testament, the blood of the Sacrificial Lamb (this time it's "Jesus") does not just cover up sin, but it washes it totally and completely away! It cleanses and makes us holy before God! It has to, or we would never be able to enter into communion and fellowship with our Heavenly Father.
An old song, by Janny Grimes, put it best: "sanctified, made useful"!
According to 1 John, we are sanctified and washed clean of all unrighteousness! We take upon ourselves the righteousness of God!
That means when we ask Jesus to come into our heart, to be Lord and Saviour, the re-birth that takes place at that time, as we are "born-again", changes our heart, it's nature, and everything about our spirit man! We then are adopted into the Family of God!
This week we will be digging even further into God's plan for us, in salvation and in living this life here in the Earth, as born-again Son's and Daughter's of the Most High God! If you are going to know more about God, you've got to have a better understanding of His Plan ... for you, for the church, and for the world! Bring your Bible and something to take notes with ... you're gonna need 'em!

It's Camping Season!  Here in Austin Texas we have wonderful camping seasons! In the Springtime, and in the Fall months of the year, and even during the Winter, we have beautiful places to go and to camp and enjoy God's beautiful creation! My dream has always been to have a real "camp meeting" ... where campers and their families gather in a real campsite area and have church ... this is literally called an outdoor "camp meeting"! CampfireTALK was birthed with this dream in mind. We are considering the possibility of these in the future. A Word from pastor Rich
The Bible tells us that the "Word of God" is sharper than any two-edged sword! Folks, that's a sword with a sharpened edge on both sides! It cuts both ways!
It goes on to say that the Word of God is able to divide between the soul and the spirit, the bone and marrow, and even between the thoughts and intents of a man's heart!
The time for "playing church" is over! Today, it is not enough just to "say" and to "act like" you believe in God's promises, you have to "believe"! You have to have faith! You have to WANT IT, from the depths of the innermost parts of your being!
"Oh, but I can't do that!", you say? Guys, remember when you first met your wife? You could not get enough of "time" with her! She encompassed your thoughts, your schedule, even your purpose in life! If you couldn't have her in your life, it seemed like it would all just "fall apart"! Ladies? Remember when you met your husband? Remember how he used to make you feel when you first met him? Remember when you were with him, and he would hold you up close? Remember those feelings?
Don't tell me you can't feel that way about God! You just need to spend some time with Him ... really spend some time in His Presence! Once you've hugged Him up close, and felt the strength in being with Him, there will be nothing that can compare! Some of you may have had moments like this with the Father, but how long ago was it? How long has it been?
It's time for renewed relationship! It's time for a clear, honest, open look at "the Real Deal" folks! Not some bogus mystified, old grey-haired man sitting in a fog somewhere ... I'm talking about the Great God Jehovah Jireh, your Deliverer! I'm talking about Jehovah Rapha, your healer! I'm talking about El Elyon, the Most High God! I'm talking about El Shaddai, God Almighty!
Folks, when you spend time in the presence of my "Daddy", the Great "I Am", your life will never be the same again! He will literally rock your world !
It's time ... time to set aside a time, and a place, and to get quiet before God and let Him reveal Himself ... to you!

Margarett ParkerMargarett, associate pastor, is also director of foreign missions. She is licensed and ordained, and has earned her BA in Biblical & Theological Studies as well. Pastor Margarett recently traveled to Kenya, on her own, and ministered to hundreds while there! |
