That Your Joy May Be Full ... by pastor Rich
In my prayer time this morning I had a vision, a very different kind of thing than usually happens. It changed my whole outlook!
My son John, is in football, and therefore has to be a school early in the mornings, for practice. This morning I was just returning from taking him, and when I returned to the driveway I parked the car and just sat there. The windows were down, and the breeze was just fantastic! My heart was real heavy about things that have been "delayed" in my life lately. I've been reading a book by pastor T.D. Jakes entitled "Peaks and Valleys". Yes, brother, I am having my Job experience.
There are times in a ministers life when he begins to be "tested", not by God, but by his enemies. This is usually the hardest and darkest times, when your faith and your beliefs in the Word are all put on trial. Not every minister goes through this, but a great many that I know can easily recollect a similar time in their life and ministry. It's like a "proving". Anyway, I have been dealing with this, reading, studying, praying, and seeking God's direction, and my heart was just heavy that morning, so I just sat there and enjoyed God's creation, and began to get quiet before him. As I sat there in the quiet of the morning, I moved over into the spirit, and began to see/feel things - I'm really not sure which, but I just "knew" them! Suddenly I felt the heart of the many pastors that we are affiliated with overseas. I felt them from places in Africa, like Kenya, and in India like Andre Pradesh, and in areas of the Philippines, Indonesia ... I literally felt their prayers for me, and for this ministry! And then I began to see that their hearts were hurting ... there was a pain, a spiritual pain (for lack of a better word) that they were feeling because their prayers over us had not yet come to pass! I could literally see/feel this!! It was like I was inside their minds and hearts! All of a sudden, I heard a voice! It was my wife, standing by the car. She was out for her morning walk, and was wondering if I was "ok". Often when you're in the spirit, your body is just sitting there, doing nothing ... almost like you are somewhere else! I'm sure it alarmed her! Anyway, as I went back inside, and she left for her morning walk to pray over the neighborhood, I reflected on this vision, and I began to realize that the delays and these many obstacles holding me back, stalling my ministry, and holding off the church we are so earnestly want to begin here, were not only troubling me, but they are affecting my partner affiliates and my intercessors, ... those interceding for us and for this ministry! Jesus told His disciple, in John chapter 16, that we were to no longer pray to Him, but rather were to pray and ask of the Father, in Jesus name. We were to definitely "ask", because God wants to answer our prayers, He went on to say, so that our hearts will be full of joy! Without the answered prayers, the joy suffers! Jesus was always looking for ways "that your joy be full"! And when you are praying for someone, and the answer just doesn't seem to come, you hurt for them, and your joy suffers. But when you pray, and things begin to happen, your faith and your joy soars to heights that the enemy cannot control! Remember that the "joy of the Lord" is your strength! We NEED that strength folks, or our faith suffers, and our drive to press on with what God is doing will fall under attack. (John 16:21-27 NASB) Jesus said in John 16:21, " When a woman is about to give birth she has sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she has given birth to the child, the pain is put out of her mind by the joy that a man has come into the world." I believe that we are in the final stages of the birthing of our new local church! This testing and trying of the enemy is futile. Though I may be frustrated by all the delays and spiritual attacks against me and my family, my relationship, my walk, with the Father is "solid". I've known Him too long to throw that around like it means nothing to me. The efforts of Satan and his bunch are irritations at best. And like Job, I may not have all the answers, but ... I trust Him. I trust God, and I know that HE has "MY" best interests at heart. I also know who butters my bread! Folks, this is not just my Father, but He is "Almighty God, the Creator"! He is One Powerful force to recon with! And my enemies ... our enemies, are about to discover that fact very soon! With that thought in mind, keep us in your prayers. No, not the token notepad that you write a name down on and stow it away, I'm talking the list on your bathroom mirror! The list in your Bible! The names you think about several times throughout the day! THAT list!! Put us on it! Keep us up before the Father, and intercede on our behalf, that these delays and attacks of the enemy will be promptly and abruptly shut down ... in Jesus name! As for me? My prayers are going into full force, for my partners, for the affiliate pastors that look to me as their pastor, and for our intercessors ... that this "wall" will be quickly blown away - not torn down, "BLOWN AWAY" ... so that their joy may be made full! Folks, there are ministries out there just waiting for my wife and I to come and teach and preach, and instruct them in the things of God. And there are folks here, in the Austin area, who right now are looking for a place to "hook up" and be "challenged" in the Word of God, to "BE" what God called them to be! This new church is going to be a place to raise up ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for this area, and for the world! Say this with me ... out loud, wherever you are, I want you to SAY THIS with your mouth, and exercise your authority as a son or daughter of the Most High God ... "Satan, we serve you notice, as members of the Body of Christ, in Jesus name, that your attacks on WORD CHURCH, on its pastors, and on the staff and the members that are yet to come, will not STOP ... in Jesus name! Effective immediately, we as brothers and sisters of pastors Rich & Jane, join our faith with theirs, and as one voice we declare this trial, and these attacks, against them, their finances, and their minister ... these are now "OVER" in the name of Jesus!" Now, get excited! Because next week, we'll be writing to you about the breakthroughs that are now happening, as a result of your faithfulness and your prayers! "Thank you" for taking the time, and for showing your love towards us, with your faith. I "am" proud! -pastor rich-

Intercessors
|
Y We are now beginning to have folks interested in being a part of meetings. They're asking if we are meeting, and if not, "when" they ask? We have therefore decided to set up weekly Intercessory Prayer Group meetings. These will meet on a weekly basis, and we will take things further from that point. Prayer is the key to starting, and maintaining, any ministry. We believe this is a good place to begin ... again. These first meetings will be a little teaching, but mostly based upon prayer, intercessory prayer and on spiritual warfare. We believe this is the first step in building the foundation for a local fellowship, and then a church. Are you interested? We would like to hear from you! Look for the return of CampfireTALK during the weeks of October 2011 ... to contact us: partnerup@wordchurch.info

about the Pastor About me: I'm a hopeless romantic! I write poetry, short stories, and songs. I love rainy and foggy days. (sorry, that's me) I like to take walks with my wife through nature, go camping with her in the outdoors, and take my Jeep and go places we really can't go in a normal car. I can't wait for us to get a motorcycle! We both love to ride! I love to sit in the woods and listen to the raindrops after a rain as they slowly drip from the leaves, in the quiet of the woods. My feelings run deep - really deep. My values are true, solid, black-and-white. My commitments are true, as well. I am a believer in "absolutes"! When I am your friend, there are no "grey areas" with me - you're my friend - period. That survives all attacks, all obstacles, and all that we may go through. I'm not perfect, but my beliefs are solid, deep-rooted, and of honor and character. These are what keep me grounded, as a friend, and as a person ... and they're what bring me back when I stray or fall short. My wife is that way too. I guess that's why we are such a perfect match! about Jane: She's that sparkle in my eye, the twinkle in my smile, the dance in my step, the hop in my walk, and the object of my affections! We go camping together, Jeeping together, traveling together, and we even work out together! When we go out in public together, I climb over 2 notches on the social scale just because I'm seen in public with her! We like much of the same foods, so we cook together and compare recipes. We learn from one another. She's my pal, my friend, my lover, and my partner in life. We even do Weight Watchers together! We've been called that "Mad About You" couple you've seen on TV! When we minister together, it's obvious that we "belong"! I believed God for Jane. She was a "special order", I assure you! He put things in her personality, her physique, and her walk ... all the things about her are things God knew that I wanted and needed! She is His expression of love, to me! |
