 Sparkling Suggestions for Holiday Beginnings 
 

Classic Martini with Cocktail StirrerTHE PERFECT MARTINI

 

Ingredients:

2 ½ oz Gin (or Vodka), ½ oz dry Vermouth

1 Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Cocktail Stirrer

 

Preparation:

Pre-chill glass.  Fill martini shaker with ice.  Pour in Vermouth and Gin (or Vodka).  Shake.  Strain into glass and add Tipsy Cocktail Stirrer.

LAYERED GOAT CHEESE DIP 

 Med. Olive Bruschetta Topping20 Party Cups

 

Ingredients:

11 oz Fresh Goat cheese

¾ cup Light cream

2 cups Sable & Rosenfeld Mediterranean Olive Bruschetta, drained thoroughly

1 sprig fresh thyme leaves

 

Preparation:

In a small bowl mix the goat cheese and cream together until smooth and able to be spread easily. Spread 1/3 of the cheese spread into the bottom of a clear glass bowl. Spread the olive bruschetta (about 1 cup) over the surface making sure to spread the bruschetta all the way out to the walls of the bowl so the presentation is attractive. Spread another layer of the goat cheese spread on top of the bruschetta.  Top that layer with the remaining bruschetta and finish the dish by spreading the remaining cheese spread on top. Smooth the top surface. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Sprinkle the fresh thyme on top for garnish and serve at room temperature with crackers, party cups or crusty bread.

HOLIDAY CHEESE DIP

3 Pepper Blast Cheese Dip 

 

Ingredients:

1 jar of Sable & Rosenfeld 3 Pepper Blast

8 oz of softened cream cheese,

8 oz of shredded sharp white cheddar cheese

 

Preparation:

Blend the 3 Pepper Blast with the softened

cream cheese.  Once the 3 Pepper Blast

and cream cheese are well blended add in

the sharp cheese and fold.

Serve on crackers, in party cups or with tortilla chips.

(Especially festive served with the Holiday green and red tortilla chips.)


 'Merry Main Event'

Christmas Turkey

 

 

HOLIDAY TURKEY

 

Ingredients:

1 turkey, 18 to 22 pounds

4 large lemons cut into halves

4 cloves of garlic, peeled

1 tsp. each thyme, sage, and rosemary (or your favorite herbs)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 cup sweet butter at room temperature

½ cup Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Russian Mustard (optional)

1 jar Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Cranberry & Port sauce (optional) 

 

Preparation: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Clean, wash and dry turkey thoroughly inside and out.

Rub the turkey with 2 of the lemons.

Place the remaining cut lemon halves, garlic, and herb mixture into the cavity of the turkey.

In a medium bowl mix together 1 cup of softened butter, 1/2 cup of Sable and Rosenfeld Russian Mustard (optional),

1 tablespoon of salt and 2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper or to taste; set aside.

Wet enough parchment paper to cover the exposed part of the turkey. 

(The paper should be large enough to tuck under the back of the bird.)

 Wring the paper out and lay on a flat surface.

Take the butter mixture and spread in an even layer all over the paper.

Place butter side down on top and around the turkey tucking in well.

Roast breast down for half the cooking time; flip the turkey over and continue roasting.  (It is easy to flip when wrapped in the paper and yet it will also crisp up nicely even though it is wrapped in the parchment paper.)

Roast turkey for 20 minutes per pound.

 Delicious served with Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Cranberry & Port sauce.
