The convention's theme, "Profiles in Chutzpah," will present "out of the box thinking" that leaders can utilize to enhance and inspire their kehillot, congregations. The registration fee for the conference is $18, which covers dinner, sessions and materials.

The planning commission has read, taken in serious consideration, debated, and been moved by the outpouring of responses to the draft strategic plan. Here are the comments posted on the USCJ website; the Board will vote on the strategic plan on March 13.

On Sunday, March 6, Tamar Schwartz met with the METNY USY Regional Board at East Northport Jewish Center.

On Wednesday, March 9, District Chair Norman Korowitz led a METNY District Council board meeting.

This evening, Mindy Liebman, Youth Commission Chair, Norman Korowitz, and Tamar Schwartz will be leading a Youth Commission Meeting.

This weekend, Rabbi Savenor and Rabbi Edelman will be at USCJ Board Meetings, where the revised Strategic Plan will be voted on.

On Monday, March 14, Rabbi Edelman will visit Dix Hills Jewish Center with HAZAK co-chairs Carol Turoff and Jeff Horowitz.

On Tuesday, March 15, the METNY staff will be at the Israel Center of Conservative Judaism for the METNY Synagogue Leadership Conference: "Profiles in Chutzpah" [see article, above]

On Wednesday, March 16, Rabbi Savenor will visit Shelter Rock Jewish Center to meet with their board.

Also on Wednesday, March 16, Rabbi Edelman will meet with the leadership of Jericho Jewish Center.
