Special Meetings with Rabbi Steve Wernick, CEO, USCJ

United Synagogue and the Hayom Coalition have been working for over a year on a new strategic plan for USCJ. We invite you and your leadership to learn about this plan and the dynamic future of United Synagogue.

Rabbi Wernick will present and facilitate discussion about the strategic plan. This session will be held twice in two different parts of the district to enable as many stakeholders as possible to participate. Your feedback and support is vital to our shared future and success.

The sessions will take place as follows:
  • Thursday, February 10 at 7:45pm at Temple Beth Sholom in Roslyn Heights, NY.
  • Tuesday, February 22 at 7:00pm at Temple Israel Center in White Plains, NY.
We are grateful to our host congregations for their hachnasat orchim and partnership.

Please RSVP to Sloane Rosenberg, METNY's executive assistant, at rosenberg@uscj.org or 212-533-0800.

We look forward to seeing and hearing from you at these visionary sessions!

macy-grayA Letter From the JCRC of NY:

Dear Friends,

As you may be aware, anti-Israel activists launched a campaign this week to persuade singer-songwriter Macy Gray to cancel her upcoming visit to Israel in February.

After asking her fans on Facebook to weigh in on her decision to perform in Israel, she announced via Twitter that she will be performing two concerts in Tel Aviv, on February 11 and 12.

We applaud Macy Gray's announcement, and we encourage the Jewish community to voice its support for her decision.  Click here to reach her on Facebook, or here to reach her on Twitter.

Thank you for your time and commitment.
